Rude staff member, poor service and worst breakfast August 2024

Ordered scrambled eggs and toast plus a toasted sandwich but after seeing two tables of four being served before us but were not seated at the time we arrived and after two waitresses had asked us if we were still waiting for our food I finally enquired if perhaps they had forgotten us. They assured me that they were on our way but said that the chef was working alone and there was a hold up. Upon returning to my table a staff member came out and said quite loudly that the other tables even though the people were not sitting there at the time had in fact ordered before me. This was very embarrassing as they all turned to stare. She had no call to do this but just trying to make a point at our expense. Another staff member came out after 45 minutes wait with our food and apologised for the wait and I pointed out that it would have been nice to have been informed that the wait would be so long as we would have gone elsewhere. Anyway the 2 scrambled eggs were incredibly small and we suspect that only one egg had been used plus amazingly the toast hade been burnt and evidence of the burnt bits being scraped off with a knife was quite clear. I have never ever seen this before and quite disgusting for a cafe to do this. I did not complain as it was obvious that the rude staff member was quite frazzled and I certainly did not want to get into an argument with her. Not very great service to say the least as we got there there was a massive line waiting to order and you couldn’t even see the menu not to mention they were bringing people’s plates out one by one and that means we couldn’t eat altogether it took them about 30 minutes to 45 minutes just to get me my hot chocolate and then for another family member it took them like an hour. Not to mention me and my family member. The hot chocolate they made me the assured was safe but made me sick and I know I’m not allergic to anything else but I have coeliac disease. My family member ordered the big brekkie. And then it came out with gluten touching it on the plate coeliac disease is like having little soldiers in your body that fight your insides thinking that gluten is bad and then it damages our body. Definitely don’t recommend, Was absolutely terrible, plating was awful, looked like it had just been slapped on the plate, eggs were over cooked, there was cheese on the tomato which was not indicated on the menu anywhere and being lactose intolerant we went up to see if they could just swap it or get a refund which they couldn’t give a reason why not, didn’t get a refund, Italian sausage was over cooked and crumbling to pieces, maybe they were just having a bad bad but I wouldn’t recommend wasting your money.
