My dad used to love coming here for breakfast, so I thought I’d give it a try.

The service is very friendly and down-to-earth.

I ordered the standard breakfast, which was great value for money. The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly, but they lacked flavor. The bacon was done well but a bit oily. The chips tasted old, and I would have preferred a hash brown. The onion and tomato weren’t cooked properly either. Overall, the value was there, but it missed on flavor.

I also tried a bite of the breakfast burger. The buns were nice and fresh, but there was too much bread for the amount of filling, making it a pretty basic breakfast burger.

If you're after a cheap breakfast with great service, I’d recommend this place. However, if you can, spend a little more for better-tasting food.

(P.S. In the past, I’ve tried their chubby chooks, and they were spot on – juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection.)

I do feel they could invest in updating the seating area, as it’s quite outdated and it shows.

I have always 100 % recommended this business. From when we use to live and all the family that still do. Since we moved away. When we come back this has always been my go to for roast chickens, and the bushman bread. However, my experience today was poor. I purchased 2 chickens. One was lighter in flesh than the other, but I let it go, as they were the last 2 on that tray, even though another tray was ready. I bought this at around 1.30pm to eat later for dinner. We found out later that night that one of the chickens was not fully cooked, it was pink. It was deemed not recommended to eat and was thrown in the bin. When I contacted the store I was told to take the chicken out of the bin and bring it back in to be checked. Really, the store was closed, the lady was rude. I said I'm not bringing back a dead uncooked chicken. However, here is the review. I’m absolutely obsessed! My guilty pleasure is chicken, cheese chips and gravy, or a gravy roll or even their amazing fresh burgers 😍 Oh my god and their tarts! The food here is genuinely amazing and feels good for the soul. My partner and I can always tell how much love goes into our dinners from you guys!

I want to personally thank the entire team - you ladies make us always feel so welcomed and cared for. The younger lad that works some nights is fun to talk to!
