Caffin8 Cafe — Restaurant in Queensland

A frequent visitor when I get my car serviced by specialist garage in Gordonvale. I usually take my time in there with a couple of coffees and some breakfast and maybe some lunch to boot. On this occasion however, after buying breakfast with extras and a couple of cups of coffee, I was rudely admonished in front of the rest of the Cafe for having the gall to charge my phone at one of the plugs situated in the cafe. It is not irregular for cafes to allow their patrons to use the charging ports. There was no sign stating that I couldn’t use it and I was on a call at the time so it was rather desperate. The waitressing question decided to reprimand me loudly and whilst I was on the phone. Eventually I got off my call unplugged my charger and requested to speak to the manager to see if she was aligned that perhaps the waitress’ attitude could have been better. She however, was not. I guess it’s a whole band of plebeians who make up the team. The waitress in question had about 5 teeth, all of which were mouldy and this should have perhaps signalled that I shouldn’t expect much in regard to etiquette. The burly owner likewise appeared to struggle with hygiene....

Me and my mother suggested to our family from down south who were up to visit, to come to the nice local Coffee shop for lunch, there were a few of us that walked in around 1:15 we asked was it to late to order from the kitchen due to it closing at 2 the elderly lady with red hair in a huff said she could take food orders until 1:30 she proceeded to stand behind the counter not even giving us anytime to sit down or really look through the menu feeling pressured from her tone of voice to get the order in the kitchen asap. Neither me or my mother will be suggesting to come here again due to the rude customer service, I understand it’s stressful to work in a coffee shop but at least don’t take it out on...

We (3 people) ordered the Mushroom Magic - Toasted ciabatta served with field mushrooms, spinach, avocado and feta mix drizzled with a balsamic glaze $12.90 Add a poached egg for extra $2.00

This came on one slice of thin toasted white BREAD, maximum 3 small mushrooms sliced thin, no spinach, two thin slices of avocado and tiny crumbs of feta, no mix, and generously drizzled with balsamic glaze and the extra poached egg.

It was very disappointing and was not at all filling. The cafe is bright and spacious but the food was very disappointing. Even being girls we enjoy a good feed and this was not good value...
