Our table booking of 9 mix up..Table not ready... 2. Food very slow, obviously cannot cope when busy... 3. My breakfast was burnt, sent back. My 2nd breakfast was soggy, wet toast and oily bacon... 4. My neices meal did not come out. When asked we were told they had no order for this meal??. Even though we heard her tell them.... 5.. After we all nearly finished eating, my neice (still no food) goes up to counter and tells them. "Its alright, dont worry about my waffles , as all finished eating." So Person serving says ""we wont"" . My neice felt embarrased and uncomfortable about the not so nice reply.. and was upset about the poor reply.... 6.. At no time apologies or even offered coffee. 7... I went up and told them I will not pay for my breakfast, 1st burnt 2nd tasteless & soggy. I got a "ok", no apologies, no offer free coffees, nothing!!! Like it was a we dont care... Sometimes all you need to do is have a conversation with your Cudtomers... We in all a table of 10, mostly locals, 3 out of town. None will ever...

I thought when the new people took over Yorkeys Knob might have lost a much loved venue and foodie establishment... but my goodness is the place EVEN BETTER than before. They kept the old chef, so the food is still the same amazing quality and consistency PLUS the added bonus of some amazing traditional Vietnamese cuisine. I had to admit, I wasn't overly confident an $18 pork Bahn Mi would be worth the price tag... but I was wrong!! Soooooo delicious- especially with the chilli-lemon grass.

So glad our local is still our favourite place to eat in Cairns- if you've not tried their Beef Cheek Burger, you haven't eaten the best Burger in FNQ!

Also, they cater well and under GLUTEN FREE really well - and their chips are now cooked separately to stay GF (my partner is Coeliac)

only thing I wish/hope for - is the return to a musician with cocktails on a weekend day during dry season (it used to be Sunday, but either day would work) - they stopped after Cyclone Jasper when the old owners...

Friend had told me about this cafe and I was super excited to go as I heard the food was great , staff were friendly. They were incredibly busy and the wait took over half an hour to get food. Positives; dog friendly cafe, good ambiance and space. Negatives: wait time being to long , our meal was underwhelming and overpriced we paid $16 for the meal in the photo and the granola was not granola the banana was not caramelised, we got three slices of fruit.the portion size was small and the presentation was underwhelming. When talking to the owner with some recommendations and positive feedback he got a bit defensive and avoided me.

I have been to many other places that have amazing value for money.would not recommend the panacotta granola if you are hungry.

Another Positives: coffee was good and I got almond milk.

Overall opinion ; 2 out of 5 stars due to the poor value for money and the food being a bit more on...

Three of us went there and we all enjoyed our food, the ambience and the service. (Normally 1 of the 3 will have an issue but this time it was 3 for 3 on the good side.) It's a 50 metre walk from a public parking area at Yorkeys Knob. The entrance is blessed with trees, as is the eating area and it's a nice, quiet place. The service was excellent. Unhurried, competent and friendly. It'd be hard to imagine that it could be better. All three of us enjoyed our food. Given one of the three is a chef that's a high compliment. Orders were the big breakfast, eggs benedict & the breakfast burger. I had the burger and it was so big I couldn't wrap my lips around it so I gave up, separated it into two parts & used a knife and fork. If that's the biggest complaint you have about a place then I think you're doing pretty well. Multiple customers were accompanied by their dog so it's definitely pet friendly.

Enjoyed a lovely relaxed Sunday lunch at this hidden gem. In a shady garden setting, a perfect spot to while away the day. Decided on just mains. Beef Cheek Burger served with chips and onion rings was yum. Partner enjoyed the Seafood Laksa - delicious. Wished it was a bigger serve. Washed down with a Traditionale Margarita. There was live music from 3 - 5pm which unfortunately we could not stay for. And if hungry, a great assortment of tapas to munch on while listening to the music. Highly recommend and will be back
