Hungry Jack's Burgers North Mackay — Restaurant in Queensland

After living in Mackay for 10 months my daughter decided she wanted HJ’S instead of Maccas for a change. I went through the drive thru & ordered 2 kids meals one 3 nuggets the other 6 nuggets. Not only did they not greet me when I got to the window but they got my order wrong to then argue with me about what I ordered. She then just walked off & got a manager who also did not acknowledge me but just turns their back to the window. After a couple of minutes, the first teenager gives me back $2 & expects me to except my meal as it is. I say about 5 times, I want what I ordered not the $2. The teen then gives me a huge roll of her eyes & slams the window to walk off & get my RIGHT order. By this point I’m furious & my daughter is asking me why the lady was so mean. As the teen comes back and passes me my order I told her I wanted my money back & I passed her back all the food. For her then to really get annoyed drop the food on the bench, get the cash out of the till, throw it at me & slam her window with out saying a word! I called up in the car park to talk to a manager to explain how unacceptable their behaviour was & there was no need for the situation to turn out so badly. She seemed genuine & would talk to her staff & get back to me. I’m STILL WAITING for that call. I have worked at Hungry Jacks years ago & if myself or my staff treated any customer with that attitude they would no longer have a job! People of today have forgotten customer service & respect! So thank you to the girl at the window who made my day all that much worse, after my mother in-law just checked herself into the hospital to start a double dose of chemotherapy for the first time & fight for her life. After a 45 minute wait in their "dine in" area, I wish I could rate half a star.. 20 minutes after ordering my partner and I witnessed burgers changing bags multiple times, servers completely ignoring people waiting to order, the baggers eating chips strait out of customers bags and directly over these bags, watching the crumbs fall back in 🤢 25 minutes in, one of the servers ushered us over and asked what did we order again explaining our meal had been bumped for some reason. Then we watched as the servo next doors cashier came back with his burger he picked up as we arrived.. told them it was supposed to be a vegan burger. Watching them take it back to the bagging area, all having a laugh at the fact then ripping the patty off and chucking on a rebel patty. He returned 5 minutes later realising this fact, somehow keeping his cool.. I know I wouldn't 40 minutes after ordering, we watch food go from bag to bag as they were trying to work out what order is what like they were under the pump.. there was 6 people waiting for orders in total. Wasn't this ment to be fast food.. we watched as people waited 30 minutes for a whopper and still getting it before us. As we were called to collect our order 45 minutes after initially ordering, we were missing chips, a burger and the nuggets. The one bag of chips that were in their were stone cold. We had to ask for the supervisor when they said we will make some more chips if you can wait 10 minutes.. the server told us their manager had gone out for a smoke and no one could find her.. probably having a breakdown from having to hell at the team for the weird game of yelling at each other and throwing food. Ordered 5 × $5 stunner meals that are now $5.25, and 1 x 6 nuggets. Was absolutely disgusting, and had to throw it out. The meat patties were chargrilled and burnt, i mean 5 burger patties all burnt black as . The chips were old and soft, kids nuggets had some black foreign matter in it. $30 gone. Same drive in about 1 month ago we ordered 4 cookie & cream cups. She had to apologise after i paid and was in line, that not only do they not have any spoons to eat your icecream they also had no staws, was left with 4 ice creams and had to drink them. I'm not blaming workers, this is a management issue. While i am ranting keep your floors clean in the publuc view.
