Luv A Coffee Airlie Beach — Restaurant in Queensland

Terrible experience. The café had a decent atmosphere and the other staff members were friendly and smiling. But the older lady — I believe she’s Portuguese — was honestly unbelievable. She acted rudely and with clear discrimination only toward me: I was with an Irish friend, and just seconds after treating me poorly, she was all smiles and kindness with her.

She spoke to me in a harsh, impatient tone just because I didn’t immediately understand what she said. When I politely asked if she could add sugar to my cappuccino, she snapped and said I had to do it myself because “the sugar is on the table.” The most ridiculous part was when she said, “It’s obvious you’re European,” as if that were something bad. That comment was completely inappropriate and full of prejudice — it made me feel judged and uncomfortable.

Also, the food wasn’t even that good.

I’ll definitely never go back to a place where you’re treated based on your appearance or accent. Truly...

First walking in to this establishment was very refreshing but then to find white boards and chalkboards with that many specials had to look for a menu. Very clutted in this space. The size of coffie cups and mugs where all hidden and out of view of customers. I had the eggs benni. For the price of them was very extreame. 2 english muffins that wherent toasted where the eggs sit become very soggie quicky. May need to change breads or do something different in this are to make it more pleasent. The eggs need to be runnny not boiled to hard. May need to ho back and revisit the way this business does this item on the menu. One large grilled tomato even tho i asked for no tomato they still put it...

I don’t normally leave reviews, but I felt compelled after visiting this place. The prices are ridiculously high for what you get and unfortunately, the quality doesn’t even come close to matching. The coffee was watery and bitter, clearly made with cheap beans and zero care. The food? Bland, overcooked, and just not enjoyable at all.

To top it off, the staff were incredibly rude and unwelcoming. One woman, who seemed to be in charge, was yelling at customers and staff completely unprofessional and uncomfortable to witness. It honestly ruined the whole vibe of the cafe. I left feeling ripped off and irritated. Save your money and...
