McDonald's — Restaurant in Queensland

We visited the drive thru on the morning of the 30/12/23. The nice lady on the drive thru couldn’t take our order because two juniors were manhandling an industrial bin right near the speaker. We ordered at the window. We were then directed to the waiting bay where we proceeded to wait for almost one hour, while we watched others drive by with their orders. I needed to use the facilities. They had clearly not been cleaned. The tables inside were piled with half eaten food and wrappers. Bins were overflowing and there were flies everywhere. People queuing to the one service person. Two people on assembly, one on the drive through taking orders, one at the pick up window plus the two manoeuvring the bin. I counted just 7 people on duty. Not a manager in sight! With a car park absolutely full and the drive thru line cued out onto the street!

It was like a lottery trying to get our order. One lass brought us one which had the wrong meal and was missing components of the other. A young male server attempted to help us but after three attempts with the wrong food, we told him to go back inside and get the girl. She finally brought the right food, just ans the clock ticked over one h and was most apologetic. The owner/manager of this place cannot possibly be satisfying McDonalds standards. We travel a lot and often choose McDonalds for convenience. We certainly wouldn’t pick it on the quality of the food. The people I felt the most sorry for were the staff, especially the juniors. It's hard to know where to begin. The place is constantly littered with garbage, the bins are rarely emptied. The staff have lost the concept of fast-food. They make drive-through customers wait in waiting bays so the staff look like they are moving people through quickly. Inside, they print stickers for bags and remove the order info from monitors so they appear like they are responding quickly. But nothing is further from the truth. Today, at around 3:30pm my order was left to get cold for near-on to half an hour while an incompetent staff member tried to make a drink. Eventually, an under-age supervisor asked me what I would like instead of my order, and she laughed at me when I stated my dissatisfaction and requested a refund. After the refund was finally given, I discovered I had be short-changed two dollars (which is better than the twelve dollars I was shorted the last time this happened). When I asked for the remainder of my money, she made me wait while she attended other matters. I guess this kind of smarmy attitude is what we can expect when children are given positions of authority instead of responsible adults. Even when an order runs smoother, the food is either cold or not prepared as ordered. This McDonalds now warrants the title of worst in Australia.

PS. They used to include a QR code on receipts so a person could provide feedback directly to McDonalds. That practice has ended here. They don't want to know. So, we are left to warn others on Google reviews.

Well, well, well. Where do I start with this train wreck of a fast 'food' establishment. We arrived into Ingham after a long journey from Cairns heading south and came into maccas as our second option. We ordered 2 large mcchicken meals. We got back to the hotel room to discover a mcchicken burger was not in there. We returned to the shop to have the manger hand us one already waiting there, assuming this was ours from our order. When we arrived at the room, we went to eat our burgers. I near broke my teeth on this garbage! I could barely bite through it! It was dry, over-cooked and i would suggest it had been there for the day! The vibe in there is of a bratty high school room when the teacher isn't around. The girls at the drive-thru seem uninterested and only wants to flirt with the guys and they all look disheveled and scruffy. This is the absolute bottom of the list of maccas to go to, and is even below Charters Towers maccas. Veterans/Travellers, please, please, don't waste your hard earned here. It appears to be staffed with teenagers playing jokes on unsuspecting customers! Please go to another food place and don't bother with this place. Servo food would be better and safer than this. Please consider this, if they serve this garbage up to customers (photos attached), what else are they doing to the food??!! I felt sick thinking about what else they did...
