A truly disappointing experience from start to finish.
As soon as we arrived, we were met with unwelcoming and abrupt service. While we were simply looking around for a table, a staff member approached us in a surprisingly aggressive manner and said, “What are you doing? I’ll tell you where to sit.” The tone was unnecessarily harsh and set a negative tone for the entire visit.
Despite the rocky start, we decided to stay in hopes that things would get better—but unfortunately, they didn’t. The service remained inattentive, and one of the waiters was overly pushy. We ordered a sangria that turned out to be incredibly weak—more like flavoured water than a proper drink—and certainly not worth the price.
We arrived at 12:00 PM and placed our food order shortly after, but by 1:30 PM, only a mixed snack plate had arrived—and even that had a hair in it. We asked to cancel the order, but no one followed up or came back to check on us. We were left sitting for over an hour with no food, no updates, and no apology.
When the food finally arrived, it was well below expectations—uninspired, average-quality meat, and overall poor value for the high prices being charged.
We also ordered a steak that was shockingly overpriced, yet it didn’t even come close to the quality of a decent, regular steak. The taste, texture, and preparation were all disappointing. It felt like we paid a premium for something that simply wasn’t worth it at all.
The entire experience felt like a waste of both time and money. Unprofessional service, overpriced low-quality food, and serious hygiene concerns. Most of all, I walked away feeling upset—like my trust had been taken advantage of. I definitely won’t return and wouldn’t recommend this...
Read moreJust recently visited Australia. We were there for 8 nights. On night 5 we went into Miguel's for a drink. There we met Dave the bartender. First of all, coming from the states, eating at the bar is commonplace, in Australia, not so much. You are lucky if you can find a bar with seats at it. We asked Dave to make us a fruity drink. Still do not remember what the drink was called, but it was creative and really good. We decided to make a reservation for dinner on night 6. We showed up for dinner and Dave was there. He got us a seat right out in front with a view of the water. Nick was the manager in charge that night and he was phenomenal as well. We order the ribeye. They let you choose which one you want out of the case. It was unbelievable. We decided to go on our 7th night as well, this time we sat at the bar. We were running late for our reservation and Nick was giving us a hard time, but all in fun. That night we got the porterhouse and it was just as good. They made my husband an espresso martini that was to die for. Of course we had to go our last night as well. We ordered the rump and it was just as good as the 2 nights before. Nick also recommended some apps for us. We got the empanadas and corn "ribs". Both apps were perfect recommendations. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that is in that area. Dave and Nick were fantastic. We felt more at home with the vibe of this restaurant. They only thing I regret is that they are not a local restaurant in the US and that we didn't find them until night 5 otherwise I imagine we would have been there almost, if not, every night. Read moreCame here for a snack after the beach today. There were only two tables without a reserved sign on them so I sat at the one closer to the beach so I’d have a nice view. Both tables needed to be wiped down. The server came and cleaned the table next to me without cleaning mine. When he came back I politely asked if he could clean the one I was sitting at and he said “I just cleaned the other one—you can sit there if you want a clean table”. I did not respond neither verbally nor by moving tables. He eventually came and wiped my table for me. I have been a server as well so I don’t like to complain, but I asked for the most basic thing, and I asked very kindly. He would’ve had to clean the table whether I sat there or not. There were only 4 other people in the entire restaurant and they already had what they needed so he wasn’t busy. Not sure why he purposely left my table dirty when he already had the rag and spray bottle in his hand and it literally would have taken him 5 seconds and he could’ve taken my order at the same time. I just felt very unwelcome here. Very unpleasant, the little faux-hawk man, for no reason. Owner apparently finds my rating “strange” for receiving poor service. Maybe you should train your staff how to greet people and make them feel welcome instead of commenting on my other reviews which are 100% genuine.
