Mountain Stop Cafe — Restaurant in Queensland

As far as a coffee shop goes it's very busy. Only indoor seating is at a bench with stools overlooking the outdoor eating area. I first visited this cafe way back in 2008 but I'm not sure if it's the same owners but its been there a long time.my big complaint .ore than anything was the cleanliness of the cafe on the customer side. The floor looked like it hadn't been swept or mopped for at least a week with food crumbs and other stuff on the floor and under the counter benches. Definitely not something you want to see as you enter a food establishment where fresh food is being prepared. The staff their are in general pretty friendly, but I spoke to the older lady doing the cooking just glanced at me over the top of her glasses and just ignored me when I spoke to her. The service was friendly and prompt, and tables were spaced to comply with social distancing rules. The QLD check-in QR code was conveniently placed in multiple locations. We ordered an iced coffee, vanilla thick shake, salad roll and Chicken Caesar salad wrap. The iced coffee was delicious and fortunately lacked the bitterness we’ve been getting lately (from other cafes). The vanilla thick shake was icy cold and thick. The salad roll was a wrap and not a roll … and we’re so glad we didn’t quite get what we ordered as I can’t imagine the roll could have tasted better. We are coming to the Mountain Stop Cafe for many years, so far we haven’t found anything better when you take in consideration value for money/customer service and location. Wendy (owner) and her team are fantastic, by far the best All Day Breakfast on the Sunshine Coast. The staff is always very friendly to us, and makes every visit a pleasant one. We were locals up to September 2018 then we moved to Gympie but we are still going back for the best breakfast that money can buy.
