First up let me say we love to support our Noosa country locals, after reading all the fabulous reviews, we thought we might give it a crack for my wife's birthday.... Geez, tonight dinner from Pomona Chinese was absolute rubbish and all dished up with a decent side serving of highway robbery. The bad taste started right from the beginning. Apparently soon as you change any part of your dish, there are hidden extra charges that we were not told about...Firstly, we asked for only two veggies in a certain dish.. add $2 extra... Our kids like plain noodles with oyster sauce, get this...$12.40 plus $2 extra for more noodles..Come on, every other Chinese store we know of charges us less for these dishes... not more... They're just bloody egg noodles with a splash of sauce! Onto the food.... Fried Rice, plain as and oily, i personally think the packet junk from Coles is better, "Chefs Special" Deep fried Beef in Peking sauce certainly fell well short of anything special. I drove from 25 mins away to try this Chinese restaurant as the Dragon Restaurant in Gympie (15mins away) is overpriced & average. SO GLAD I DID!!! The Chef Jackie was super nice and the food was so delicious. I'd go as far to say "Best Chinese/Asian food I have had in 30 years. Very happy and so is my family. After waiting 30 minutes for my food on a Tuesday night that wasn’t even that busy was extremely disappointed by it being stale and cold whilst the portions being tiny. The service was horrible as the girl who took my order seemed like she hated everyone and everything. The cooks weren’t wearing gloves and I don’t know how often they washed their hands.
