OCD Obsessive Coffee Dispensary Stockland — Restaurant in Queensland

I went here yesterday and had a Berry drink. Very nice. I decided to go back this morning for breakfast. Very different. I felt like a nuisance getting served, as I was told many times that she was the only person there today. I said, "That's ok, I can wait, even though I was the only one in there at the time. She did say she was doing an order for food on the run...again not a problem. I put my order in, bacon and eggs, mentioning a couple of times that I like my eggs SOFT poached and not hard as I'd had them hard before somewhere else and can't eat them like that because of the texture. She said ok, I understand. They came out hard. A guy came over and asked how the meal was? I said I couldn't eat the eggs as they were hard when I asked for soft. He said ok and walked away. I went up to pay and again mentioned the eggs. The lady said, " Nothing is going right today, and something about the egg making machine is not working properly, and the heat was going on and off. No apology, no offer for remaking eggs I could eat, no offer of a discount. Doordash orders. Approximately 1.5hrs for simple order - I was happy to wait but unacceptable for the door dasher to be forced to wait the whole time...

Doordasher kept me up to date on all the hiccups including: orders not accepted initially despite Doordasher waiting at the restaurant. 30 mins into waiting and still not accepted despite being told they were. Orders were made but incorrectly so remade. Eventually correct order made.

The food itself is mediocre at best and this is not biased by the long wait. Coffee was just barely better than instant and and eggs benny was just average (may be in part due to eating other things at home due to the long wait). Much better to be had locally e.g. Bayaroma cafe. Irrespective it is boxing day so thankful that something is open and at least there is food to be eaten.

Ps. this review is not intended as a scathing attack on the restaurant (could be a one off poor experience, it's the holiday season so may be busy etc.) but more to remind me in the future so I don't make the same mistake.

Edit: thanks to the owner for the reply. I wasn't at the venue so unaware of any evacuation. Instead of taking cristism constructively and offering to do better you make excuses....

So I went there for Coffee with my partner for the first time to try it out because it looked really interesting. And it was an awesome experience! There was only 1 girl working there which was a bit unfair as she was being worked TO THE BONE and being smashed with orders online and in person. But she handled it so professionally! She was very kind and well spoken, she entertained the customers by asking them about their days and was just talking to them while making multiple orders at once! Mikayla was bloody awesome with her service delivery and apologized for the wait we had and gave us a little slice of cake as a thank you!!! HEART MELTED!

She did so well with all the deliveries and she is definitely one of the best workers there for sure. She deserves a damn raise after all the hard work she has been putting in. Me and my partner will definitely be going back there for the lovely service Mikayla provided.

20/10!!!!

Next time give her some Co workers DAMN. I don't think you guys realize how busy...
