First time visiting the restaurant after travelling past so many times to Toowoomba. Tried the beef cheeks special and 3 cakes with my partner. Beef cheeks were tender and had a strong beefy flavour, Red wine sauce was mild and love the crunch of the blanched veggies. The orange chocolate cheesecake was impressive. Was told it was the freshly made. Cake was soft and rich. Good balance of orange and chocolate. Great flavour combination in a cheese cake. The crust was yummy and could have been packed more at the sides. The Raspberry cheesecake was like having an ice cream with cream cheese. It was tasty. Love the flavour love the generous biscuit crust. However, could feel the gelatine used as you eat it and could been seen on the cake too. Was told this was a few days old. The Red velvet and chocolate slice was rather disappointing. Was expecting a nice contract of soft and firm but could only taste the firm chocolate cake base. The icing was grainy and sandy. It was way too sweet and rich for us. The cake looked great though. Love the plating effort the chefs have done so that the cakes looked super good when taking photos. Follow my Instagram @punk_gardener as I seek our local food treasures with my partner.

Decided to try here with family as driven past for many years. We did have a bit of a mishap with our meals, girl on the till asked how many people and we said 6 people and ordered all our meals. When the meals came out only 5 meals came out and nobody checked when delivering the last 3 meals if that everything when clearly 1 person didn’t have a meal. When I went up to ask where our last steak sandwich was the young boy tried to tell me I hadn’t ordered and argue with me then a girl (I think her name was Britney) jumped in and said she would sort it out. We finally got our second steak sandwich it was slapped together. 45 minutes wait on food was a bit long, first steak sandwich was amazing and the burgers were delicious and good selection on tap. Also as a business your very lucky to have a staff member like Britney as I watched her while I was there training staff, friendly mannerisms and professional

We dined at 10:00 on Easter Sunday, expecting it to be packed. It was fairly busy, but there were tables available and we were seated immediately. We were greeted warmly by staff members and this continued the whole time that we were there -nothing was a problem for the staff members. The menu for breakfast was Impressive, with the usual suspects on the list and some lovely innovations. My latte frappe was exceptional, with the cream in the top also being ridiculously good. I had the big breakfast, which came with bacon, eggs, sausage, toast, mushroom, hash browns and possibly the world’s best tomato. It was hot and tasty, with the ingredients sourced locally. My beautiful wife had the salmon eggs Benedict, which was also generous in size and delicious. This would also be a great place for lunch and dinner, with some frosty beverages.

An amazing family pub by the highway. Extremely clean, well set out, room and games area for kids, beautiful bistro and all day dining till 8:30pm. Great selection of beers on tap with happy hour 4-5pm (just made it). Decided to stay the night when we walked through and saw how extensive the place is, $140 a night for a king room that exceed most other chains at a higher price. No details overlooked, from the decor down to the soap! It’s a beautiful room, double glazed windows with an air gap to provide noise dampening from the highway, very spacious room, super comfy bed, beautiful bathroom and although it’s around 3 years old, the team keep it looking brand new. Bottom line, this is a great find and highly recommend for a stay of a night or more, there are function rooms within the pub so make it a big stay. We will be back!
