The interior looked freshly renovated and was generally okay, though the plants were half-dead and our table was sticky. There were industrial tarps set up down the middle of the restaurant, sectioning off part of the space, which made it feel unfinished and still under construction.
The chef, who was also our server, was very friendly — but notably, he was wearing thongs (flip-flops) instead of proper kitchen shoes. From our table opposite the open kitchen, we could see oily marks on the floor, aluminium foil scattered about, and overall a lack of hygiene.
We ordered Mongolian beef with rice, and fried rice. Unfortunately, the fried rice had been microwaved (confirmed by the chef) and was moist and soggy — not fried at all. The Mongolian beef was about 80% thick, overly sweet, gluggy sauce, with the beef itself tasting a few days old rather than fresh, moist, or tender.
The best part of the meal was the Coke — and I’m not even a Coke drinker. I had a mouthful just to clear the unpleasant taste of the food. In the end, we didn’t eat much at all and ended up going to Domino’s afterwards.
While the price was decent and the chef was friendly, the food and hygiene let this place down badly. I would not recommend.
EDIT TO ADD - NO FOOD WAS TAKEN AWAY AS IT WAS DISGUSTING. ALSO CHEF AND SERVER AS PICTURED WORE FLIP FLOPS AKA THONGS IN KITCHEN TO COOK. IT WAS SATURDAY 11AM. HIS RESPONSE TO THIS REVIEW IS COMPLETELY ALL...
Read moreWe are six Asian Australian people from Brisbane arrived to this restaurant after having a whale watching tour. We ordered 5 dishes with rice and costed us $102. We need to wait nearly 50 minutes to get the first dish served. The waiter told me that because they have only one wok in the kitchen and therefore they cannot served quickly. Chicken corn soup $9/small bowl was horrible. It is too salty and my mom had to mix soup with steam rice to swallow the soup. Roast duck: the worst roast duck I ever seen and tasted. It costed us $26/less than 10 pieces but the whole dish got burn and awful taste. I chucked half of the dish because we can’t eat. Stir-fried vegi and tofu with black bean source $19.90. the chief may be not Asian and therefore does not know how to use black bean source to put into a stir fry dish. Flat noodle with bean sprout and bbq pork and chicken: $26. This is the only dish we could eat Deep fried fish with sweet and source source $26. the worst fish dish ever because of the sweet and sour source.
I am disappointed about the food quality of this restaurant because service is too slow and food is below average. But I don’t know why people voted 4.7 for this restaurant. I am wondering whether it is a real review or she hired people to write fake review? This is the worst Asian restaurant I have ever been. I am sorry and I paid $102 for too poor food quality...
Read moreVery bad service, waited 1 hr to pick up a delivery and after 1 hr time they said they dont have the order with them , very poor attitude people just wasted my time.
Editing my post after your display your unprofessional behaviour again and updating the order details here as well, so everyone can see it. I did not do it earlier, but you are so very unprofessional and doing it now. I clearly mentioned order number for your receptionist more than 3 times and it is your responsibility to educate that person to check the uber register for such order is there and if it is not there it is your responsibility to inform the driver. none of it happened at your restaurant and your receptionist accepted that the order some how slipped in your end. It’s shameful at least not saying sorry for what you did it is very unprofessional. Order was cancelled by the restaurant so that means it came to you Uber confirmed it as well don’t try to cover by saying lies. Asking not to come is hilarious and so primitive do you think you are as the only restaurant in town to get orders grow up mate be professional and learn to accept a mistake and say sorry for what happened than showing your unprofessionalism. I really don’t want to come to a bad place like yours in future too even you...
