Been coming here for over a year.. Best Japanese restaurant in Cairns! Firstly the bento boxes are delicious! The karage chicken is fantastic! Gyoza is hand made and just supreme.. literally everything on the menu is just superb! Been to a multiple of Japanese restaurants in cairns and this one tastes like true japan! Last time I've had food this good I was in a little restaurant in Osaka! And dont forget... sapporo beer... ON TAP! To finalize... staff were and always so polite and welcoming like traditional Japanese. Food 9/10 (fantastic, 10/10 is mind blown food must eat stuff) Atmosphere 7/10 (only because its an standard Australian restaurant feel, not Japanese, doesn't mean it's not clean, functional or worthy, just need s a little more Japanese details) Staff 10/10 (so friendly, so polite, so welcoming, so professional, and they should be so proud) Price 8/10 (not cheap, not expensive.. just reasonable) Overall 8/10 (a point better and it would be in japan, 2 points and more and it would be in Japan's best...

waited 45 minutes to be served, when i went up to find out about the delay the waitress claimed she “couldnt see me” when my table was directly opposite her, upon receiving my food ive noticed that they have cross contaminated my vegetarian food with meat out of pure laziness. when i tried to explain that they had to remake it it, i was made to re-explain myself multiple times, which tells me they aren't even educated on what cross contamination is or the dangers of serving food like this. The staff were so rude when I was trying to explain this and it was honestly an infuriating and disappointing experience. Ordered over the phone was advised that it would be a 15 minute wait. Turned up to pay and was told that part of my order was incorrectly made (chicken fried rice instead of kimchee fried rice). I was advised that they would remake the order and it would be a few minutes. I waited inside the restaurant in plain sight of the counter for 50 minutes without any indication that my order was ready or acknowledgement of my presence. I lined up again and was told that my order was given to someone else and that they would need to make it again. I requested a refund and left without food as I had no confidence that I would actually receive my order. I have been to this place multiple times in the past but will not be...
