I was taken here for breakfast on the morning of March 7 2020.
We ordered:
A very crispy bacon and egg sandwich for my son.
A toasted cheese sandwich for our toddler daughter.
A usual breakfast with scramble egg, crispy bacon, with slices of toast, mushroom and tomato.
A chocolate milkshake for our son.
A piece of banana bread ( cold )
And my wife ordered a muffin with yoghurt.
What immediately struck us was the girl serving us. She appeared dizzy and confused with very slow communication. It appears she may have had a hangover.
With her repeating and interjections, she kept getting the order wrong.
Eventually after much time with her confirmation repeats, she got it right.
We were given our number and of to find a table.
I headed to BOOST JUICE opposite to get my much loved freshly squeezed orange juice and also one for our daughter in a kiddies straw cup.
While I was waiting, a ventured back over to the COFFEE CLUB where the girl stopped me and said, “ you can’t bring their juice here “ Biting my tongue, I smiled and said OK.
I returned to “ BOOST JUICE “ and explained to the assistant, and asked for my money back.
She responded, “ no, we have already started to make it “
Oddly, she then said, “ you can come back after and we will make it “ ( a contradiction for not giving a refund ) I said OK and back to the coffee club.
We brought a bottle of water with us anyway due to the COFFEE CLUB glasses often having residue and mouth prints on the drinking glasses.
My wife complained what she ordered was positively disgusting and super sweet. She complained that the ingredients were stale.
My meal turned up. The bacon was all sloppy and rubbery and a complete opposite to crispy. Their was no tomato or toast on the plate. I explained with complaint. This was the original girl that served us. She took the plate back, and returned it with a scrambled egg, bacon and mushroom toasted sandwich. It was on a small side plate spilling from the edges. Their was no cutlery or serviettes.
When I complained again, this same girl responded, “ you said you wanted a sandwich “ My wife and I looked at each other in disbelief, although held our wits in front of the children and the fact that it was my birthday.
My son complained that his chocolate milk tasted like they had spilt the sugar bowl in the glass. The shake was not mixed properly and the inside of the glass was plastered with chocolate sauce topping.
Our daughters toast was missing any filling a cm into the sandwich with a crumbly and dry crust and bread. The cheese inside was very oily and was processed cheese.
The whole affair has well and truly put me of this COFFEE CLUB place near KMart.
It appears that the main patrons are senior citizens.
I was a regular customer of the COFFEE CLUB and BOOST JUICE. Not anymore.
I certainly would not be recommending the COFFEE CLIB to anybody.
I have discovered an absolutely amazing place for breakfast on Sheridan Street just around from the Civic Centre Shopping centre. Near a bike shop and X-ray place. It’s a small trendy looking silver shop.
The staff at this cafe are completely turned on and are...

Been to coffee clubs in south aus,. And none are run this poorly,. Wanted to buy some cake n food... but then told my friend n i we could only take away, we wer denied seating because we wer both holding boost juice container cups... ( trying to purchase food but cant sit n eat it? Happy to take the money but refuse to give a table n chair? 🤔not to mention they wer empty seats everywhere "makes sense now" place is below standard) so end result we both got food else where... where do they expect us to eat, on the shopping mall floor? Paying customers blatantly refused service... yet see people just sitting at the tables not ordering anything with boost juice cups... very peculiar... with service that bad how do they even stay open?
I understand if u had a store and it was store policy... but they are in the middle of a public shopping mall and it makes 0 sense and actually feels like discrimination over my purchasing choices which is none of their business while im trying to buy their product/food.
Would give 5 stars for shi**t...
Read moreMy mother sister and I came in to the coffee club cairns Central on Tuesday the 16th at approximately 2.30pm Everything was well and good. The young staff member came to us twice with someone else's order. Yes miscommunication. Everyone does it. My mother ordered 3 meals and 3 drinks. Only got charged 2 meals and 3 drinks. Hence the server didn't hear her last order. Yes yet again miscommunication. I get that My sister had to ask for a clean spoon for her coffee and my mother's coffee was 'cold' When we got our meals. There was so much water on the plate from the poached egg (which was stone cold) My meal was okay. Bacon was cold and smothered in oil still My eggs again full of water one was hard and one was medium gooey. Not to mention but only one of the managers was actually cleaning up the floor. Presentation was average.. Im a qualified chef of 10 years. Going out to lunch with my family. Showing them a good place to eat. Both my sister and I have worked for the coffee club branch years ago.. this experience...
