Myself and family decided to celebrate my grandson’s 4th birthday by having a meal out at the bistro. When ordering our meals we were told that the wait time was an hour. We were okay with this. It was just after 7pm. At 8:15pm we asked if we could please have the kid’s meal as our 4 year old was very hungry. At 8:20pm a very sad looking kid’s fish and chips arrived. At 8:30pm a staff member came to our table to confirm we hadn’t received the adult meals. We advised no such luck! At 8:50pm we still hadn’t received our meals and the birthday boy was all but asleep. Staff were ignoring our attempts to get any help so we decided to leave which also meant we weren’t able to sing happy birthday and blow out candles on the cake we had brought with us. Leaving hungry was bad enough but seeing our little boy’s disappointed face was totally rubbish. And by the way, we had had an hour plus delay in receiving meals on a previous occasion. Needless to say, we won’t...

Two weeks later the burger came or raw again. Not just pink but uncooked and mine was paste on the inside. As we were there for a brief meeting we had no time for a re cook and again asked for a refund. This time the big guy behind the counter's body language suggested he might like to fight us. He was confrontational and told us that the burgers "are all like that". The burger was RAW there is an accepted internal temperature the meat needs to be cooked to in order to reduce the risk of food poisoning, and this red lump was not any where near it. mince is the most dangerous because of the large surface area of all the ground up particles. We meet as a large group weekly at this place and the response I got...
Read moreIf your reading this, then you're probably deciding if you want to go here for dinner. The answer is:- yes! Yes you do! It is the most child-friendly place ive ever been to with a kids room that has 3 TVs, toy trucks, barbie dolls, bean bags, a chalk board and more. Plus a colouring in book was provided at the table and a free ice cream. For the first time ever, my goblin-son had a nice time at a restaurant! Wait staff that were friendly and efficient. Quick to deliver meals but still courteous enough to have a conversation when they walked past. Oh and yeah, they have cooks that can actually cook! (Best steak and gravy in Townsville!) Clean, friendly, fast and delicious. If Gorden Ramsey visited this place, he'd have a nice meal, watch some soccer and then head home for a relaxing bath surrounded by scented candles, because there is absolutley nothing to complain about in this place. Well done to...
