Trinity Beach Sports Club — Restaurant in Queensland

Very disappointing. Was recommended this place by a friend so went for an evening meal to try it out… the kitchen is under refurbishment so, understandably, meals are served on paper plates. Was told by the very friendly wait staff to help myself to salad but when I approached the salad bar, I was told by the lady there - Salad Police?? - that I was not allowed to take an extra paper plate (shared with my husband) to put salad on. She told me to put the salad onto the plate that the main meal was served on… I don’t know about you, but I do not like to place fresh salad leaves on top of hot fish and chips!! Besides that, the paper plate is very small and this meal cost $22! Felt that she was very inflexible and her manner was somewhat abrupt. The friendliest person in the place was the gentleman who was calling out the raffle tickets for the meat trays .... Such a shame, I like to spend my money locally but will definitely not be returning… I would rather give my money to another business who would be...

A pleasant evening had by us locals at Trinity Beach Sports Club . Always popular on a Sunday night; Roast night where a generous serving from the carvery was served by wait staff. Disappointingly we noticed people eg. eating meat using their fingers and then licking them whilst going to the vegetable buffet where they then handled serving utensils. No consideration of hygiene followed by the serving of cauliflower and white sauce with at least 80% of those who were serving themselves were relying on fingers to stop the stream of stretchy cheese with their hands. Very unhygienic. It only takes 1 person with gastro or similar to infect others. This bar needs to be policed at all times or served to restaurant patrons by wait staff to avoid this. In this current climate of Covid and Viruses I am in disbelief that this self service buffet exists. Great Club, dedicated staff but please let’s see this rectified. 5 Stars for the food but only one star...

Well I was treated so rude by the lady work in porkies area tonight ruined my night out with my husband we has been working so hard and looking forward to it all because my husband was playing on winning machine and he pressed collect and I'll receive money for him while he went for smoke we used to come here and was no problem before ,didn't know when the law changed but if she could use a little customer service skill with an explain the rules change instead she was angry rude give me a dirty look while she walk away after I told her it was my husband machine I told manager but agreed respect come bother way but I was treated disrespectful in the first place so for the customer skill smiling goes a long way never come back again I told her if she could just explain to me nicely no need to be rude she told me if I don't like it I can get out wow my night really ruin never been treated like that before people around me they all said that...
