Avoid, avoid, avoid.... I cannot believe how bad this place has become. Hopefully the new owner sells to someone competent or goes broke, either way I won't ever return.
The previous owner went very close on operating the best kebab shop in Australia. This new owner is inept, ruining a once reputable business. I was just charged $27 for the worst kebab in memory (the length of a chocolate bar mind you) & a small serve of chips and gravy. Usually I would just throw this rubbish in the bin, call it a mistake and never go back. But knowing how great it once was and how you have ruined it I am to give you a review.
You straight forgot the sauce. There was 2 slivers of tomato on the whole kebab. The meat was congealing and had clearly been cut off and thrown in a container hours before. The kebab was honestly as long as a large chocolate bar and twice as wide. In every way it represented way less than half of the $16 dollars you stung me for it alone. The chips were acceptable, but $11 dollars for a few chips and 100ml of gravy is rude.
You upped the prices by a large percentage, dropped the servings by a significant percentage and somehow reduced the quality of a plain ol' kebab. You can't serve a decent kebab mate, jeepers that is sad, there is like 4 ingredients.
Avoid. Avoid, Avoid....
Read moreFake reviews bonanza! Seriously? A mixed kebab for $16.50! It's gone up in price over 40% and shrunk in size 40%. The only way to justify that kind of price rise is pure greed. Plus, the wraps they are using are thin and dry, not like the way the previous owner used to make them. It's clear they are cutting costs with sub-par ingredients and putting the price up, which is a big no-no. Heard the price gouging is to fund their wine bar in the same building, which also has a reputation of mediocrity. Obviously their first time running a fast food business, or maybe from Sydney? Clueless. Recent reviews will say it all. Anything with a 5-star review is spam/fake and should be reported. You can spot them. The fact that these owners want to blindside you with fake reiews is a testament to their unethical and dodgy standards in business ownership. Obviously, it's too hard to fix the problem. 🤣 Sneaky. It's not the same anymore and too expensive. I'm hoping old owner buys the business back before they run it to the ground, as it was incredible before they took over. Now, it's absolute garbage. They won't last. Unless, they rely on tourists that are too drunk, sunstroked, or hungry to care. You've lost my business. Don't alienate your local client base. It's not Sydney...
Read moreUnder the old management, the food was great, the main man running the show was a lovely bloke, always said hello when you saw him in or out the shop.
Under the new owners, food tastes different, very oily, seems cheaper. My biggest annoyance and the reason for this review is how rude they are. Twice in one month have I waited over 30 minutes for a small chips, both times the same 2 women serving me, both times they didn’t have a clue what they were doing. The first time I let it go without this review.
I waited 30 mins for a small chips, to top it off, they tried to charge me twice when I went back in to tell them I’ve been waiting, then when I tried to relay my complaint, the new rude manager guy laughed! So rude!
Give your money to other local businesses that actually care about customer service. Customer service matters, learn some, not everything is about money.
Check out the new fish & Chips place next to Tuk Tuk on the sea front, much better food.
In a small town, being personable and taking pride in what you do counts, this place doesn’t do this since the the...
