Woree Tavern — Restaurant in Queensland

arrived in cairns sunday the 9th june was told by our hosts the we would get a good meal at the woree and if we got there before 6pm we would receive 12 dollars of both meals..arrived a 550 pm went to order meals,,was told by staff to go grab a drink and take a table,,when we ordered at 602 pm was told that we cant get the discount as it is now after 6pm ..found staff to be rude and not friendly ,,payed 57.00 dollars for a pretty average meal,,as we were about to leave was approached by staff and accused of stealing there steak knives lol,, I asked to speak to manager and was told that he was not interested ,,as this was our first day in cairns we decided to not go back to the woree again and when on to have a fantastic holiday with heaps a fantastic places to eat with warm friendly staff...so if you read this folks it pays to shop around and woree hotel your loss...

We wanted to treat ourselves after eating at our campsite for a week to have a pub meal.. grabbed a table, got our drinks & ordered dinner, had a receipt offering our second meal for $7, what an amazing meal we both had.. Female bar staffer from Christchurch had awesome attitude & fantastic rapport, the chef was an absolute dude and the manager so professional our visit was memorable.. my husbands pie & mushy peas he said were awesome, first time ever my crumbed chicken snitzel with Diane Sauce was the softest, most tender piece EVER!! Thank you for making our night out fabulous, hope...

It's beautiful environment you get to meet lots of people you have a lot of very good bartenders but my favourite one would have to be Adrian waters he's loving and caring person he's always there if your down or if you need advice but man when he serves drinks he doesn't drop a single bit of alcohol and for that I appreciate him and everyone that works there so thank you very much to woree tavern and a special thank you to Adrian...
