This place is amazing. Having a business in the main st for 8 years, I've seen cafe's come and go. Having lived in Europe I know what real bread and cheese tastes like. The French Basket have done this perfect. The food is traditional French cafe cuisine, the coffee is one step above other cafes. Nothing better while studying than a divine ONA coffee by an expert barista and a fresh buttery, flaky croissant that is just as good as when I was in Paris. The friendly faces of staff and regulars here make for a welcoming and cheerful vibe that makes this my favourite stop in Sawtell. SERIOUSLY GREAT COFFEE. Recently visited on Easter weekend. Place was busy and these guys were calm and collected. Breakfast was great, baguettes and French butter we took on our road trip was amazing. They have an extensive selection of coffees and the quality was excellent. On a road trip from Melbourne hard to find coffee houses. This place is exceptional. Heading back their soon before heading home. Cheers...
