I enjoy driving over to Sawtell RSL.from Urunga in the early evening.

The staff are very warm generous and friendly. Generally, I enjoy the food and the prices are usually reasonable.

Don't shoot the messenger, but sometimes the food eg., lamb and veggies tasts stale, tasteless and rushed. Like no one was cooking with love n care. So important !!

I mentioned that to my neighbour friends too, who have been enjoying driving over.

They agreed and said perhaps it depends what nights you go.

Also, be fantastic to see some gluten free options. The creamy lemony pasta marinara looked mouth watering. But no gluten free option. Easy for chefs to alter food to gluten free, actually and not expensive. Apparently, about 45 % of the population are gluten intolerant. So, it would pay on many levels to provide some mouth watering options, hey !

Anyway, thankyou. I usually enjoy the venue. Terrific when you just need a break from cooking at home !!

I am yet to explore entertainment there but the adverts. n line up sometimes look extremely inviting. ...

We visit here while staying in coffs harbour. We came here for lunch on one day then dinner the next night to meet with relatives who live here. Easy to find and parking not problem. We had children so we hoped they had a play area, they normally do although it was under new construction. The site mentioned they had another restaurant onsite. We went and looked although it wasnt open after we walked up at least 30 stairs to find it was closed. We end up eating in the bistro as it was getting late. Finally ordered and my meal was looking goid but once eating into it, it tasted like a frozen meal not fully thwed out. Chicken snitty. We all end up eating pub meal food . My daughters steak was not cooked properly and took it back , she did not get charged for it. Her hubbies meal wasnt the best. He said He has better pub food else where, two weeks later he still brings it up about how it was bad pub food, he is a big meat lover and will pay top $$$ for good meat. Over all atmosphere 3 out of 5 food 2 out of 5 . Staff 4 out of 5...

Popped in as a visitor for a quiet GnT with a friend - very helpful and friendly staff (all of whom recommended the $16.50 steak n ribs deal on later in the evening!), very clean, comfortable AC, nice n quiet, not overly crowded.. ordered good ol' wedges, chilli and sour cream - not too long later a generous bowl of pretty delicious (double fried?) Wedges appeared..and that GnT was pretty decent as well - liked the vibe enough to return and become a member -me?...a member of an RSL?.. something I'd never imagined -so, consequently, in the words of the former California Govenor "I'll be back!" I'd throw another half a star at it but a few too many screens (which kind-of can't be avoided), pretty 'lifeless' decor and furnishings (hey guys -its the 21st century.. you can do better!) but an excellent snooker area and thankfully the slots are well away.. Now, as a member I'll be checking the exercise classes and maybe that Thursday steak n ribs thing and who knows what else my Club has on...
