Had heard this place is amazing for breakfast and true to the stories, we had a great time. They have cute outdoor seating and indoor seating is available if windy or raining. Many milk options (including almond milk) was available for coffee. We both had breakfast wraps with eggs and bacon while the other couple had raisin bread and ham and cheese crossaint with added bacon and egg. For us total was $34 total (two coffees, two wraps) and for the other couple $20 (the crossaint, raisin bread and one coffee). Quick service and tables named after people.

Great service, top coffee and a warm enjoyable dining room. Felt very comfortable being here. The people that left the previous reviews today were eating their own food and when asked not to do so got upset. Unfair review and a ridiculous thing to do in any place that serves their own food and drink. The owners were lovely to speak with and very accommodating with couch cushions and board games at the ready for you to enjoy and remember your experience.

Highly recommend. We stayed in Pennashaw for 3 weeks so had plenty of time to sample the local fare (on multiple occasions). Highly recommend this cafe. The coffee is excellent, food is delicious and staff are very welcoming and friendly. Good bathroom facilities and close to ferry. We never waited too long even when they were busy. Their vanilla slices are exceptional!

I absolutely can not fault the service here! We went to Fat Beagle for lunch after being turned away by another cafe due to my child having food allergies. We eat out regularly and have never had such issues so came to Fat Beagle feeling deflated and upset.

Not only did they go above and beyond but they supplied my son with a beautiful wholesome meal which was completely safe for him, checking all ingredients and ensuring that clean dishes were used and benches were wiped down before preparing his meal. They asked us to just wait a little bit due to rush hour so they could be 100% sure they were giving him a safe meal and we were more than happy to do so.

So impressed with their service. They were attentive and simply lovely...

Can you believe it? We came here for 3 full breakfasts in our 4 days stay on kangaroo island. We are completely pampered by the crispy croissants, the yummy eggs and the well cooked but not overdone bacon. Coffee and Tea are really good. So we came back again and again. Staff can recognised us and the exact orders we wanted. It’s so cooling to sit outside at the terrace and enjoying the garden and flowers around the cafe. A great location! Simply beat the direct competitor just across the road. Thank you for your great hospitality to our...
