Since moving from their Parkwood place into Coogee I always wanted to come down and try it as it was much closer to home. Had good memories of the place back when it was in Parkwood. Well It is set in a small cozy place with pretty good service. The presentation of the food was good. But the food was pretty average. I mean it wasn’t bad but when I go out and eat I like real tasty, party in your mouth kind of sensations and unfortunately overall it wasn’t. The sizzling tofu, Kung pao beef, and prawns and vegetable in garlic sauce were their best dishes on the night. The fried stuff was average, the fried rice was pretty average as well. Pity as wanted this place to do well but it fell short.

We grabbed some takeaway for a celebratory dinner. We ordered online and picked it up. There were size options for each dish which was nice. The food wasn't the best. I didn't particularly like the fried soft noodles due to their flavour and the noodles breaking up into smaller pieces. The spicy pork was nice as was the garlic chicken. The dishes weren't as tasty as in other places I've tried.

Good food good service. Love the sweet and sour pork. The crunch remains even with the sauce. Sizzling tofu is quite average in my opinion, I think some crispy bits such as nuts or even a burst of salted fish can compliment better. Price wise is on the higher side. Will we come back again? Yes we will, as I’m keen to try everything else on the menu.

Order not received by due time (6:30pm). Order placed at ~5:10pm. Called restaurant and received 'very poor service', notified by Restaurant that wait time another 40 minutes, asked for order to be cancelled and Restaurant hung up on. 2nd phone call; Left 'hanging' listening to other conversations and orders for 7 minutes; eventually ended call to attempt a third from another phone. Third attempt; called using my husband’s phone, same reception as 2nd call, and eventually 'hung up on again'. Phoned again for fourth time, no answer, 'leave a message' - advised I will contact Consumer Protection if they do not return my call, left number; no returned call. While placing this comment on Menulog website, phoned restaurant again at 7:15pm; call answered and again requested 'cancel order; advised by Restaurant employee that food was on it's way; requested it be cancelled at 6:45pm and repeatedly on subsequent phone calls; restaurant advised 'cannot cancel order as being delivered now', I requested refund, phone call 'hung up on' by restaurant. Food eventually delivered at 7:25pm; refused to accept order, however delivery driver insisted. (Order arrived 55 minutes after scheduled time and 2 hours 15 minutes after order time; if they were so busy, why didn't MenuLog block delivery time options.) All the restaurant had to do on first phone call at 6:45pm was apologise for oversight of missed/lost order and compensate with small token and all would be good, however they chose to hang up on me. Order was over $80.00 worth of food. Not good enough!!!!! Left customers very regretful for placing order to celebrate Mother's Day with daughter/family for dinner. Cooked instead; thank you for not giving me a night off being in the kitchen. My family of 11 people will NOT be visiting this business again, plus we will advise others of our deplorable experience. I also teach adults about 'quality customer service' and we definitely did not receive anywhere near 'quality', just 'basic customer service' would have been appreciated. Donna...

Ordering from uber eat. Almost everything on the menu had dodgy pricing. I wanted a satay veg. 16 dollars which is reasonable. When you click on it your sent to a page giving you large or small options. 10 dollars extra for large and not able to click on small. It was the same with almost everything the menu. Its fraudulent in my eyes and a very shonky business practice. Even with dessert I was not able to purchase at the menu price I was forced to buy an extra scoop of ice cream. Which turned out to be far to much ice cream for the half a banana fritter I recieved. Uber eat should look into this misleading menu practice. Earn you money dont...
