Greetings
Those who have seen prior reviews to me know i go into depth 😂 but also im quite fair in my judgements
The perk that comes with my reviews is that it comes from someone who they will never expect
Anyways, lets dive in
Prior to ordering, we called to see what time the kitchen opened as all restuaraunts open their kitchen between 4:30-5:30
On the first time, they answered and stated 5pm but i forgot to ask if they can do a certain dish with lamb
So i dialed back within 10 seconds and to my suprise, no response. So i thought, okay thats fine, so i dialed again 5 minutes later from a different number and they didnt respond again,
Fortunately prior reviews and photos convinced us to give them a shot
The online ordering system is quite simple and very handy
On your first online order, you get 10% off which once again is quite nice
We put our order through at 4:25pm and it said within 10 minutes, so i called the shop and they stated that they could do it within 10 minutes which is quite great once again!
Our original online order contained: Vegetable spring rolls Pad see ew with lamb Massamum curry with beef Cashew nut stir fry with prawn Large jasmine rice
The order came very quick and as i went to pay as theres an option online to pay in store, i thought, hell why not just grab a prawn chips. Our original order was $78 and the prawn chips online were $4.50 so they would have taken it to a maximum of $83. However i was charged nearly $86 which is quite weird
Now ill go in depth about each dish to help you all
Jasmine rice: Nice large portion plenty for 2 people, wasnt that hot but quite simple and fine, 8/10
Spring rolls: Ive never really been a fan of vegetable spring rolls but my friend wanted them so we got them. They were quite nice considering and had proper veg including peas which was a nice touch, 8/10
Pad see ew: This probably was the star of the meal, amazing noodles cooked to perfection large portion great egg, nothin else to say but my recommendation. 9.5/10
You may be thinking, the 3 stars seems tough? Brace yourselves ladies and gentlemen
Massamum beef curry: This dish generally the beef is soft tender smallish pieces but the beef pieces were.. well larger than the spring rolls. Inconsistently cooked, some well cooked, others perfectly cooked and others wayyyyy overcooked. Some pieces were full of grizzle and fat whilst others were nice and lean. The curry its self was quite nice as it had a chilli kick to it and potatoes were cooked well. Overall 5/10
Cashew nut stirfrys: Unargueably the worst meal of the night. The best thing of the stirfry was the actual sauce. We ordered this with prawns. For those who dont know the pad see ew with lamb above costed extra same with the beef, however the prawns were an extra 8 or 9 dollars!!!!! I was expecting around 8, however there was a total of 4 prawns. Well, 3 and a half considering one was cut in half and the other half was nowhere in the dish. Secondly, the cashews. Generally they are nice, crunchy and a great savoury part to deal with the thai, however, some were soft others were hard others were crunchy it was just a mix max of of consistency. Then comes the vegetables, corn that was simple glub then carrott that was still rock hard like its been raw, the broccoli wasnt bad and the red capsicum was fine as well. Overall: 3/10
Finally, the prawn chips: Often seen as a lovely greeting before diving into the cusine of thai, it ended up with smelling like a seafood market, and tasting like one too. Now im not saying the large amount of shrimp/prawn paste is terrible at all, however it cant be that much that im questioning if im eating prawn chips or the inside of a seafood shop. Cooked well but i mean, prawn chips are quite simple to make so theres nowhere to hide if it goes wrong, 5/10
A 3 star review following this is nothing but fair, would i come back again? Yeah maybe but would only get the pad see ew and maybe the massamum but just no beef bc thst ruined the...
Read moreFirst visit here tonight. Ordered takeaway at the counter. The server was incredibly rude. As there was a 15.min wait we went to Woollies, came back 10 mins later and tried to have a conversation with the server about the beautiful picture on the wall. Server, once again, was rude with her reply, turned around walked into the kitchen. We took a look over the counter and saw our orders sitting ready to be picked up. Server came back to counter and was to interested in the Uber type orders that were coming through. After bringing her attention to the fact that our orders were sitting there, she picked them up, plonked them on the counter in front of us and walked away. No thank you, no have a nice night, nothing. Extremely rude, terrible...
Read moreWent there as it had high ratings, but was very disappointed with the food. We ordered chicken fried rice, pad thai, won tons and prawn crackers. The prawn crackers had a very distinct oil smell (not the usual smell) The fried rice had very distinct burn taste to it as it was burnt! We returned this and they got us another plate but that was not at all flavorful. The Pad Thai was too saucy and runny and the won tons were dripping oil with each bite we took.
It seemed like the food was prepared in a hurry and no proper flavours were added.
Maybe if we had gone there at a different time when they were not busy, out experience would have...
