Banjo’s Bakery Café – Bokarina (Drive Thru) — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

Terrible, terrible, terrible...….your location, drive thru convenience, facility and all your staff are wonderful. However, I have been there about a dozen times to use your drive thru. The problem is the quality of the food/coffee you offer has gotten progressively worse every time I've been there. So bad in fact that today was the end for me. I ordered a large flat white and a ham & cheese toasty. What I received was appalling, so bad in fact that had I have been closer I would have turned around and showed you and asked for a full refund. Instead I poured the coffee down the sink and threw the toasty in the bin, but not before showing everyone at work just to make sure I wasn't overreacting before I posted this. My large coffee was only 3/4 full and I struggled to taste any coffee in there what so ever. Honestly it tasted like you hadn't discarded the coffee beans from the person before me and made my coffee from there left over grounds. It truly was a 3/4 full ghastly cup of something that was meant to represent fresh coffee. Now let's get to the food. The toasty was saturated in butter. Now we all know a bit of butter on the top of your toasty before you toast it is great but in this case it was next level. The sandwich had reached it's saturation point in butter and it was just oozing out of the bread at the slightest touch of pressure, I'm not kidding it was disgusting and whilst it may sound like I'm over reacting, I'm not. I can't actually put into words how bad both these items where, how can you stuff up not just 1 thing but both...

I had ordered platters for a party... 4 days in advanced after going into store to make sure this would be ok. Come collection time, and first off I get left standing at the counter unacknowledged for a good couple minutes while 2 junior staff were manning the drive-thru window. 1 of these girls was CLEARLY in a mood and approached me with an attitude, after walking past 3 times without acknowledgement. After stating I was there for platters she walked out the back... another good chunk of time later the senior staff manager came out SCOLDING this poor young staff member and snapping not only at her but also at me. Her service and behaviour toward the other team member and ME was APPAULING! Then I was told there was no Vegemite to do part of my order.... annoying but ok, refund that and I'll take the rest. The senior then walks out the back and STARTS MAKING THE ORDER OF PLATTERS that I was there to pick up... I then had to yell out that if the order still needed to be made I did not have the time to wait... which the senior staff member never came out to address me again 🤷🏼‍♀️ Sending one of the young girls who I felt awful expressing my disappointment to, as I knew it wasn't her fault. If I could allocate -0 (minus 0) to this Banjos bakery I would. This place is consistently failing to deliver services and goods. I ordered and paid for a platter / box of sandwiches for an event, with pick up time being 10am. I received an email confirming the order. We went to pick up the sandwiches at 12noon and were told to wait 'couple of minutes'. 20minutes later they handed us two smaller boxes and upon enquiring why such a wait we were told they missed our order and had to make it in a rush. The sandwiches looked as if a group of two year old children made them, poorly made and poorly presented. As we were in a rush we had no time to wait for another lot to be made. Absolutely appalling service and absolutely appalling quality of their products ( sendwiches). I have given these guys numerous chances , wanting to support our local business, but they have failed to deliver every time..this business is run and operated by incompetent people. I will never purchase anything from them again. There is a Banjo bakery not too far from this one, in the same complex where the fruits shed is, and they are very efficient and very professional.
