We decided to dine in here for lunch, and made sure we got a table before 12 (sometime between 11:30/45 to help beat the rush.) We didn’t get our food until 1pm. We came with our friends who also ordered food a few minutes before us, their food came within half an hour. After waiting for almost an hour I went up to see how much longer was left on our order. I was told it had another 10 minutes at least, and the staff were apologetic behind the counter. While the staff were apologetic, it seems that almost all of the other tables were in the same position. I heard many tables say something along the lines of “I’ve been waiting over an hour.” We received nothing more then an apology, and had to ask the staff to refill things such as the water stations and the cutlery boxes. None of the tables were cleared and the kitchen was eventually closed due to an overwhelming amount of orders. I understand that today seemed to be a stressful day for the cafe but it is unfortunate that so many customers were dismissed and told things like “there are other orders first you will have to wait.” Not sure what went on today as the staff seemed very stressed and the atmosphere in the cafe was one of a majority unhappy customers. When the food finally did arrive and we had chased down some cutlery I was met with probably the worst eggs Benedict I’ve ever eaten. When we walked past the kitchen a few times we saw staff on their phones or talking. No one received any money back or any solid apology or explanation for the bad service. Overall, a...

We went to EATS yesterday (Sun 13/08/23) for a Cheese and Tomato Toastie ($14.00 ouch!!), 2 coffees ($11.00) to eat in and a butterscotch and white chocolate muffin ($6.50) to take home for later. Only 3-4 other customers at time so was pretty quiet late in arvo We only go here as a last resort when others are closed Value fair - $14.00 for a luke warm toastie that contained 2 little pieces of bland tomato and fairly bland cheese and dried toasted bread (not buttered) the side of tomato chutney we spread onto the toastie lifted it. We have had better toasties for less $$ pretty much everywhere else. Staff were friendly, prompt and honest which was refreshing to see as they had over charged and late refunded for a muffin we did not order. Could be because I asked for the itemised tax invoice, but will give then the benefit of doubt. The pricey Toastie that came out was Ham Cheese and Tomato not what was ordered and was promptly replaced with correct order.

Coffee was good and hot as ordered and $$ on par with others

Muffin when we took it out of the bag later was not butterscotch and white chocolate as ordered - was plain raisin muffin which was ok but bland - how can you get that wrong as it's written...

Had visited the markets & decided to get out of the sun for some lunch. The cafe was practically empty as it was later in the day. We ordered simple toasted sandwiches & drinks. The drinks came out fairly quickly. I asked for the drinking water station to be filled as it was completely empty, the staff member did so, but I then had to ask for glasses as there were none! My scone with jam & cream was served with a fork, no knife to cut the scone to apply the jam or cream, just a fork, strange. After 30 minutes waiting for food we asked how long it would be & was told about another 20 minutes. They charged us for a bottle of water which they never had to start with as the fridges were empty. Eventually we got a refund & left hungry. When I mentioned about the fork as we were leaving they said that's all they had, obviously too hard for someone to wash a knife. The workers were very young & clearly need some more mature guidance. It was clear they had been busy earlier in the day, but this could've been mentioned at the time of ordering. We were most disappointed with the service & definitely would not recommend. Shame this was a really nice looking cafe but did not have the customer service &...

This cafe shows tremendous promise, but needs to look after the little things better. Very pleasant outdoor setting. Amazing! Ordered soft poach eggs on toast, and soft poached eggs on toast duly arrived. And we didn’t have to wait either, despite their being reasonably busy. Truly a rare feat. Why do so many cafes serve “soft” eggs that are solid through. On the downside, like many cafes, only 1 slice of very nice toast for 2 soft eggs is just not enough toast to absorb the egg. Is bread so expensive that I can’t have 2 slices? The person who took my order declined my request for a cup of tap water. However, the front of house provided a large glass of water (with ice) on request. Front of house service is really good and friendly. The coffee was nice, if a little bland. We like our coffee to be full of flavour without overwhelming us with caffeine. Perhaps they should consider changing the coffee.

Stopped in here for some brunch with my wife whilst visiting Eumundi markets. Staff are friendly enough but I’ve got to say the food was very ordinary. My breakfast burger tasted like it had been cooked yesterday and then thrown in the microwave to warm up. Texture of the bread was chewy, bacon underdone and egg was clearly not freshly cooked. My wife ordered a chicken salad which was mostly fried halloumi and swimming in salad dressing. Add to that almost every table was choc full of dirty dishes and waiting to be cleaned. Even when we got served our food nobody bothered to clean our table so we ate amongst the filth. Sorry guys but I won’t be returning here any time soon!

As a NZ tourist, we squeezed in a visit to the Eumundi Markets before heading to Brisbane Airport to catch our plane home. My husband and I became separated from each other in the market crowds and when it became time that we were supposed to be on the road, the roaming on my phone wouldn't work, and because we hadn't made a pre-arranged meeting place, I had no way of locating him and time was ticking by. A young girl working at Eats let me use her personal phone to ring him to locate him and I am very thankful for her kindness. We had had a breakfast there earlier which was all good too :).
