The Bake House at Eumundi — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

I was lucky enough to find The Bake House to fulfill my craving for a curry pie and a jam and cream donut after returning to Australia. Absolutely delicious. The curry steak pie was perfectly cooked, sturdy pastry packed full of delicious minced meat, veggies and curry gravy. They even saved a frozen one for us to take home, complete with cooking instructions. The jam and cream donut was just how it should be - huge! With fresh whipped cream, tasty strawberry jam and fluffy donut. My mum got a vanilla slice with fresh cream and custard and loved it. The coffee was great too. They're using bamboo cutlery too, so extra points for that :)The ladies serving were so helpful, kind and responsive. An all round excellent experience....

If I could give this place no stars, I would. The food was probably the worst bakery food I’ve ever had. Had a sausage roll, and it was so bland it just tasted like flour, and there was minimal meat inside. My partner had a veggie pastie and that was also awful. I had a brioche bun bee-sting, it was definitely not a brioche bun, it was dry, over cooked and the custard was tasteless. My partner had a carrot cake that was as hard as a rock, and super dry. Rude staff who seemed very displeased with our order of 4 meat pies and 3 sausage rolls. We were told there would be a wait of 10 mins which was fine. We stood at the counter to pay and was told to move so they could serve another customer the last 3 sausage rolls we just ordered. We went outside to wait while my son waited at the counter to be served. He was ignored completely until his sister said something. Will never come back, I would rather starve then be spoken to by a bakery employee...
