Could this be Eumundiâs best coffee?
If the V60 pour over coffee I had today is any indication, then we are probably talking about one of the best coffees in the greater Noosa area!
My Costa Rica filter coffee took awhile to make, but thatâs ok, good things take time, and you canât rush quality!
Also, I wasnât rushed for time, so I would rather wait for an amazing coffee, than receive an average one in less time!
Plus the wait was comparable to other specialty coffee shops Iâve been to.
My pour over was amazing, with notes of stewed fruits, and baked apple pie, combined with subtle perfumes, like you might expect to find from an old ladyâs handbag!
On the palate there were silky smooth tannins, as well as flavours of liquorice and black strap molasses, combined with ripe cherry fruit.
I usually prefer to sip filter coffee, and the Costa Rica was no different, but I did find if you took a big gulp, the coffee coated the whole palate - and I was getting different flavours all over - it was the gift that kept on giving!
Highly recommend - will definitely be back for more and I loved the low key vibe and friendly,...

I stopped by this café today (Saturday) after leaving the market, expecting to grab a cup of coffee like I used to.
To my surprise, the attendant at the counter said, âSorry, no coffeeâIâm not good at stirring milk.â
I replied, âThatâs fine, Iâm just after a filter coffee.â

Honestly, I was tempted to offer to make it myselfâor even teach him how to!
Hospitality?
I returned on Wednesday, hoping to enjoy this cafĂ© again because I used to really like itâunfortunately, I had bad luck for the second time.
This time, I arrived at 1:00 PM, and the barista told me they weren't serving coffee as they were getting ready to close. When I asked what time they close, he said 2:00 PMâso I was surprised, since I still had an hour left. I even asked if there had been a change in ownership or staff, because the service and experience felt completely different from what I remembered.
Itâs really disappointing to see a once-great cafĂ© turn into a place that no longer seems interested in serving coffee or...
Read moreThis is a coffee shop, not a restaurant. We just happened to drop in here for coffee on our way north. We had no prior knowledge or expectations, which may be part of why this place was such a delight. A great alternative vibe, nice casual service, good coffee in lovely cups, a truly beautiful presentation of coffee with a cascara chaser, and an almandine tart with a crisp pastry that was just generally perfect. The tart, coffee, and really the whole experience was world-class, not what you expect to find in a small...
