Marcoola Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

We were told about this restaurant by a friend and it definitely didn’t fail to the expectations we were told about it. In a quaint sleepy town was this amazing restaurant with the meals that we both just reminisced when we were younger. We had the Chicken and sweet corn soup & combination short soup to start with along with a cup of Chinese green tea, followed by Mongolian Lamb and Satay chicken. The short soup just blew me away with the flavours in the stock and other ingredients, my partner’s chicken and sweet corn soup just “wow” delicious. Then came to the mains both couldn’t fault. The cabbage in the dishes was just sweet and full of flavour.

Simon was absolutely amazing! The young lady tending to phone calls and the bar was equally as amazing. Came up for my bd and words just cant describe how incredible this little family restaurant is! Friendly and helpful customer service. The meal however was disappointing, lacking flavour. Scallops were watery and chewy and I was very surprised to find seafood extender in a seafood combination dish. I've eaten at many Chinese restaurants and never seen that.
