The Local Beerwah Cafe & Bar — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

Very poor experience for my elderly family and myself. Dined here yesterday for lunch. Food quality was appealing, cold food delivered to tables at all different times (at the time we thought wow, the chef needs some work, comsidering he was drinking in the kitchen whist cooking? wait till what we saw later) the food was tasteless and poorly plated. The one girl running around delivering meals and cleaning tables was amazing, the other girls inside were standing around not helping at all. Coffee came out late and tatsted horrible. As we went to pay, clearly the chef had finished and was now in the restaurant, again drinking and flirting wirh the wait staff. I'm not sure who the manager is, but guessing by the whole experience the chef is expected to run both front and back yet he's more interested in having a drink and flirting with the team. Will not return, will not recommend. There's a lot going wrong with the "rebrand" of the local...

This place is great if your'e in the area for a shop! (its right outside kmart - but still has its own area underneath some hanging vines/lights, which i imagine would be pretty at night for dinner!)

We ordered the breaky wrap (so nice an full!! 100% worth the money), and the chicken mango bowl (flavours were nice - especially the dressing - however it came missing the red onion and the capsicum was cut into really thick slices (probably needed to be thinly sliced or diced tbh). Could have done with a bit more chicken, i felt it was a little sparse and didnt fill me up).

All the other meals coming out looked great though! So don't let the review of this one dish stop you from visiting! :)

Drinks were good, we had a mocha and a summer berry iced crush (which was more like a smoothie - but i'm glad, it was great!).

I really wanted to give a wonderful review because the lady who served us was lovely however 45 mins wait on breakfast with kids.... not so fun 🤪🤣 After you spend over $100 for breakfast its not really reasonable to wait that long. Maybe to many tables to keep up with. Anyways down to the food. Good sized portions. Not terrible but not wonderful either. Waffles came out beautiful presented but cold unfortunately. Eggs benny was ok, not the best. Kids meals were well sized and cooked beautifully. The kids milkshake was mostly cream, with maybe 100s and 1000s at the bottom 🤷‍♀️not enjoyed by the little ones. Iced tea didn't have ice. The frozen drink was very bitter. Chocolate Frappes got a thumbs up. Loved the fact there was salt and pepper on the tables. Overall as a family we probably won't go back for breakfast but maybe takeaway...
