A large group of 20 of us rolled along unannounced for Saturday lunch to the Beerwah Hotel. We were quickly accommodated with tables pushed together so we could sit together long banquet style.

The menu at the hotel is great as it has a good variety of foods. Of course the usual pub grub - chicken parmigiana, etc but also pizza, quality steaks, a kids menu ...and featuring a lot more seafood than most bistros.

This place was a great find and considering we were inland terrificseafood. The entrees and main courses featured scallops, oysters, and prawns. The fish of the day was mackerel that was fresh boneless and yummy. Not all the seafood or fish had to battered and deep fried. Instead scallops with NamJim, oysters Kirkpatrick, coconut crusted prawns and fish crumbed or grilled too.

The staff were friendly and patient enthusiastic the large group and the kitchen did a great job of getting all our meals out pretty much at the same time. Happy days.

It is a large hotel with many different areas for drinking, playing and dining both indoors and outdoors. Plenty of street parking.

Tables were clean, chilled bottles of water and glasses for the tables and decent salt and pepper! Food presentation was lovely, sauces and fresh cut lemon. All these details made for an excellent lunch meeting.

Old pub smell upon arrival entered thru bar side, was told by bar staff to wait 5-10 min prior restaurant grilled gate open, bar staff didn't ask if we wanted to purchase drinks whilst we waited food came within reasonable time, very dried up lemon wedges with fish tacos starter, also side plates would be a nice addition especially if shared between individuals. 3 restaurant staff were giggling and bent double looking at a screen console on the far right bench. Ribs slightly overcooked and dry. Sauce nice but would have preferred not to have my hot chips drowning in them. Chips were nice. Then went to order dessert. But no creme brule available, staff didn't offered any other alternative. Apparently they have sold out. Why has the chef not made any on a quiet cloudy Monday afternoon after an entire week of non stop rain? Doesn't take long to make them. Took left over 2/3 ribs and caesar salad home. Hopefully they wont be as dry as the first third. Left disappointed & without our dessert treat. Post edit post Then when we left walk past 3 restaurant staff and 2 bar staff, didn't hear any thank you for coming, have a great night, nor any goodbye. Certainly will not come back after that...

Very good ambiance but very disappointed with the food quality. Had a chicken parmi and it was blend, it tasted like the chicken schnitzel from the supermarket. No seasoning on the tomato sauce, the cheese was simply either tasty cheese or mozzarella not Parmesan. Considering $23 for a dish I had greater expectation... My friends had both the same vegetarian (not vegan) pizza, one looked pretty good but the second one who arrived 20min later was just horrible; it was a completely different one. No cheese topping while the first one was loaded, the tomato sauce was dry, it was packed up with more pumpkin and kale just to make it up for the missing cheese. I had a bite and that pizza was dry and tasted like a crunchy cracker... seriously, I understand you guys are very busy or overwhelmed in the kitchen but this is not an excuse for dropping the standard or missing ingredients especially when paying a this much. My other friend had a rib eye steak, it looked and tasted good but it looked like it was a tad overcooked and dry like more than well done. Very...

"The local Beerwah Hotel is a perfect spot to sit in the beer garden and enjoy the extremely pleasant glasshouse mountains air. Dining is absolutely ideal for all of your group's dietary needs and the steak is truly sensational. The bistro is absolutely huge and can host any size group you are planning your event or dining with on your next occassion. Open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week. This establishment is a huge favourite to the local communities and sits within the glass house mountain hinterland, in beautiful Beerwah. There is always a well planned line-up of awesome bands on every weekend and at any moment you can also play a game of pool. During the footy season come and watch your favourite game or simply enjoy the company you bring. The service is always great and very hospitable here. On those quieter moments, you can even bring your pooch and sit together in the beer garden." 🐶😁

Honestly, some of the staff are great people and dont deserve a bad review. But the management and owner are just worthless. 25 dollars for a basic cocktail? Are we in birsbane or beerwah? Who are you kidding? And why does the pokie room smell like piss? Why are the walls crumbling? Could you spend the couple grand to have the carpet cleaned and the mould/broken walls dealt with, gazzard? Its on you, and only you. It's getting pathetic how greedy and unwilling you are to be a decent owner. (Photo is of the broken drywall scattered all over the pokie room, and the MOULD ON THE CHANGING STATION PARENTS PUT THEIR KIDS ON.) Beware, and go elsewhere. -signed, a former staff member that couldn't handle the health hazard this venue is, and quit.
