This is a mixed review. Our food dishes were superb: Massaman Beef Curry and great Chiili seafood stirfry (see photos) plus favoursome fried rice. All good so far except we waited 50 minutes for our meal when there were only about 25-30 people in the restaurant. The waiters were apologetic, but I gather that it is a common problem, and I heard an apology to another customer. My wife is Thai and I have been to many, many Thai restaurants both in Oz and Thailand, and Thai food is cooked quickly, especially stir fries. I have never waited 50 minutes except for specially cooked fish. Perhaps the chef needs a kitchen hand, but something is wrong. It is a shame because my Massaman beef was melt in your mouth with a beautiful curry sauce and very generous in size. And please serve an extra bowl like they do in Thailand. The service rating is just 2 star only because the waitresses did their best. PS If people have ordered their own dishes, all meals should be served together. I know in Thailand people share meals so it doesn't matter but in Australia it does matter. I was left staring at my dish, waiting for my friend's dish to arrive. Finally he started to eat some fried rice and told me to start. Not cool. We went back the next day and it was very quiet so the meals came in under 10 minutes. My friend had red duck curry which he loved and I had pork pad thai which was good...
Read moreThe decision to have a quick dinner outing - preferably Thai - made us choose "Little Sukhothai" in Beerwah. We did not book - just walked in. Greeted straight away by staff members and we could choose a table! Presented with the very nice menues, now we had the task of choosing from the many delicious dishes offered. The chef's specials got our attention! One observation: the takeaway orders came in fast - a sign of a successful biseness - it must be good! We ordered one entree and three main couses. The presentation of the meals was pleasing to the eye - the taste of all the different selections we made, delicious. You could taste all the different ingredients - like tamarin, ginger, coconut, coriander, etc. Compliments to the chefs Pap and Pai. All the little touches - of coasters for the glasses, the empty water bottle replaced with a fresh one - checking if everything is satisfactory (rare those days in most places) was observed. The place is supef clean and attention to detail everywhere. A thank you to Jean, the hostess, and the other staff members - it is nice to have a place so close to home for a very memorable...
Read moreLittle Sukhothai in Beerwah offers an impressive Thai dining experience as the newer sibling to the long-established and well loved, "Sukhothai Maleny". The flavors here are authentic and vibrant - their coconut-based curries are particularly noteworthy with creamy texture and well-balanced spices. Portion sizes are generous and represent good value for the quality. The restaurant has a pleasant, casual atmosphere that works well for both date nights and family meals. Service can vary depending on how busy they are - during peak times you might experience longer wait times for food, but staff are generally friendly and accommodating. If possible, booking ahead is recommended on weekends as they can get quite busy. The menu offers excellent variety with both traditional favorites and some interesting house specialties. For those familiar with the Maleny location, you'll find the same commitment to flavor here, just in a more accessible Beerwah setting. A welcome addition to the local dining scene that's worth visiting, especially if you appreciate properly prepared...
