Well, this is one place where we will never return... Where should I start? We ordered a burger and a Caesar salad. We were told that it will take 1/2 hour. It turned out it was one whole hour of waiting. We sat at one of the unoccupied tables that was full of dirty dishes and after a while my wife decided to empty the table herself and later to she washed the table, again, herself, since no one bothered to do it. After waiting 40 min, I enquired about the food (half the tales were empty anyway) and one of the young girls raised the voice at me that there is 1/2 hour waiting time (?). When the food finally arrived, my wife received her salad but I had to wait even longer for the burger... so we waited while looking at the salad - seriously, how difficult is to bring both the orders at the same time? The salad was decent but the burger had the driest and tasteless patty I have ever tasted, the cheapest bun and the cheese was not melted - just a slice of cheese sitting there. There were also some slices of stale tasting and mushy tomato and some unidentifiable ingredients. On the bright side we had plenty of time to catch up with all sorts of stories. We left half of the coffee there (guess why, and it is not because we didn't have time to drink it). Overall it was a horrible experience brighten up only by the fact that I spent some time with my wife. We both agreed to...
Read moreI've been a patron of this establishment on two occasions. On the first, I ordered nothing more than a milkshake which I had to wait approx 25 min for. The staff seemed alot more interested in socialising with some of their younger patrons, and did a splendid job in pretending I didn't exist.
Waiting 25 min for a meal is one thing, but for a drink, I expect to be told roughly what kind of wait time I'm looking at. None of the staff were apologetic.
The 2nd time occurred the last weekend ( 06.08.2017 ). We ordered a coffee and a raspberry friand. The wait time was long ( 15 min ) considering the place was virtually empty. I can't remember having ever tasted a friand so infused with sugar before. One bite was enough. As neither of us could eat it, we placed this at the end of the table, where it could easily be seen by the staff.
15 minutes passed by and once again, the staff made a concerted effort not to look in our direction. I'm guessing this was their passive aggressive way of not enquiring why didn't eat the friand. This is unprofessional. I should think most business owners would want to know if their patrons are happy with the service, meals, etc, which leads me to my reason for this review. I'm really hoping the owner will read this and educate his staff accordingly. Having young people on staff may be cheap, but it can also result in...
Read moreRIGHT LET ME START. I want all the #firstworldproblemkarens out there that give this place a one star. To go back to their stay at home cookie cutter home lifestyles and try and run a restaurant that provides quality and amazing food like The Nines. You all sound like your life is so hard, cause you didn’t get that extra hash brown that you didn’t get. !! We’re all human! and we make mistakes. I can assure you that you would have got your extra hash brown in no time at all. Or you can’t find a shady seat cause you have a pram. Well if you want shade and you can see there is none. Don’t go. Come again at another time when it’s more quiet or don’t bring the baby when it’s busy. Let your husband do some baby sitting for a change. All of these people that give 1 or 2 stars are just really such ungrateful first world problem spoilt whinging toddlers that are keyboard warriors for such minor things in their lives. I would love for their partners to turn around one day and give them 1 star for the breakfast in the morning cause their eggs weren’t soft boiled.
Amazing food guys! Will definitely be back for more and more and more !!! Ristretto was perfect! You guys really know how to do a great one! Only thing I would ask is just adding ristretto onto the menu when you scan the barcode. ;) See...
