Been there with family and 2,5,6 year old today 15-05-2022..to almost 20% filled restaurant... it's first time not sure what to order picked an item from menu kabab with rice, bread, garlic sauce.. it's price was $19.99, the menu item said .. it will be served with garlic sauce, bread ..when they served first no bread, second no garlic sauce... I ask the lady it's on the menu.. she says yes we know it's there but we are not giving it.if you not giving it then why you are giving the same menu.. and then she brought the bread and gave garlic only .. at checkout the guy was arguing now that you came with 4 people ... We gave you garlic ... I said did you read the menu he said I know my menu..but you came with 4 people, I said I was not even eating there .. I brought family because I have other dinner arrangements later into he evening.. he argues but you are sitting ... So basically he charged $28 because ..of the kids ..he refuse to serve whats on the menu at the price... Totally unacceptable behaviour .. if you need money just ask I don't mind giving you money but it's not right to argue for what is already included in the menu...very disappointed ..came the first time and pretty sure the last time.. there is another review with over charging ... For dish .seems like a routine for them... Also, if don't want kids come and don't want people come and order anything please mention on the door, you should have to spend this minimum money else walk out...then only it's fair.. many times someone just need to accompany to someone does not mean he has to always eat and waste the food... totally not going back and I suggest other please think about it... Not serving what is advertised on the menu and asking more money is unlawful... In australia.its your fault to give a menu which was mentioned with everything that should be included not my problem to know what's written and what's...
Read moreThe kebabs weren’t fresh. They were served cold. The presentation of the food is appealing, but the quality is well below average.
The positives were that the restaurant had a real Iraqi feel to it. The decorations, photographs and paintings reminded me of Iraq’s rich and diverse heritage.
The service from one of the veiled waitresses was top notch 5 stars. She was really helpful and attending to our needs. The other waitress was not so. She was inconsiderate and unprofessional.
We were overcharged for certain items and there was no way to compare the actual prices listed on the menu to the receipt, as no receipt was given.
I personally won’t be returning to this restaurant again. My recommendations and advice to the owner is to hire more staff (including chefs and waiters/waitresses) to maintain a high quality standard and service. In addition to serving fresh...
Read moreI drove 25 km's to get my fix of the fare available from this family friendly restaurant. I stumbled on this place accidentally about a year ago and I'm so glad I did. Their authentic, rustic, home cooked menu absolutely reeks of someone's mum effortlessly cooking all the comfort dishes she knows you'll love. The portions are generous and the cost reasonable so make sure you come with an appetite. Whether you're enjoying their amazing Kebabs, Okra stew or my All time favourite is the Humble yet delectable "Tashreeb" which does not disappoint. ... be it Summer or winter make sure to finish off this authentic feast with a cup of their sweet, strong, freshly brewed black tea. Sydney siders it doesn't get better than this for Fresh Authentic Iraqi food. They're open till 10pm so great for a late feed in the heart...
