Ratings are based on the following items.. Nice decor, like the renovations.. Comfortable & cushioned seating.. five stars for comfort... reasonable prices too! Like the free delivery to local area under the 5 km radius but must spend $30 idea.. Complimentary herb plate is generous with meals ordered with the inclusion of onion, but should think about including Corrienda & mint herbs too.. As these go well with all the dishes.. Persian food The ghormeh sabzi (herb red kidney bean & lamb stew) is nice just need to self -add more lemon juice to give the taste more of a kick.. It then becomes amazing Their zereshk Polo is one of the best dishes that I like to order here, chicken falls right off the bone the tomato broth fantastic, love the taste of barberry saffron rice, quite fulfilling.. Love it even more with their leafy condiments.. The Ghaimeh a tomatoe based stew containing yellow lentils, lamb, dried lime & French fries (which is a unique idea never had fries in a stew before) together with saffron rice not bad, it's nice, I love lentils in stew, but it could be improved with real potato hot chips French fries, instead of a packet of French fries artificial chips from the supermarket.. Tried their baked fish nice marinate but could be improved with the cleaning of the fish a little more like removing the scales etc & leaving it to cook a little more as parts of the fish were a little under cooked.. But the taste of the spicy herb/tomato marinate is nice.. It Compliments the fish which is generous in size if these suggestions are taken on board, this baked fish dish would be a 5 star I think this has to be the best place that makes Keshek e Badenjan (fried eggplant with, fried onion, walnuts & yoghurt whey dip sprinkled with dried mint) just self add more lemon juice to give it more tang but this entree has to be a 5 star rating just for taste... p.s. However staff can be a bit more generous with the servings as I remember an incident where my takeaway container had a real small amount of eggplant dip at one time & most of it oil.. But may have been a mistake by whoever on duty served it.. Because I went in on other occasions & my take away containers were generously filled.. & 5 stars for the freshly baked Persian bread that goes with the dip, which smells & tastes delicious.. yum! Love the taste of the black sesame seeds that accompanies their crispy thin baked Persian bread!

Shandiz Restaurant isn't the absolute best Persian restaurant in Sydney but it was still quite good. The kashk e bademjan was excellent and the bread that they serve is freshly baked and very delicious! I also like that they serve torshi with the kabob - I've never experienced that before! I had the joojeh and it wasn't amazing (a bit dry) but I tried a bit of the koobideh and that was really good! A bit disappointing that they didn't bring butter with the rice. The service was pretty slow and customer service was a bit rude but overall it was a good experience!

I travelled a considerable distance, anticipating a great experience based on glowing reviews, but left disappointed. The most concerning issue was the bread served; it clearly showed signs of previous use, including gravy marks along with what appeared to be bite marks on the side. This raised serious questions about hygiene practices. Furthermore, the staff's demeanour was not very friendly, and it was surprising that basic tap water was not provided as a complimentary, even for customers.

I am not a fussy customer neither someone that wants to save money on a business expenses but I’ve just ordered on Uber eats delivery, and noted I don’t want salad or tomato just add me extra bread and wow salad and tomato was removed but no extra bread, 2 kafta’s are on the plate why would you offer 1 piece of bread? When bread is relatively cheap and it’s originally restaurant made not even bought from outside? Should I pay extra $1.5 for another piece of original baked restaurant bread piece or whatever? When I noted if it could be replaced by grilled tomato and a salad! Money hungry restaurant, when I was young I used to work in a restaurant and if a customer replaced anything or even needed extra one piece of bread I would give it for no charges! And from the beginning why is it just 1 piece of bread and it’s not even big it’s just for one kafta. Plus the for the price point around $21 excluding delivery + service you should’ve been fair & coke is never on top of the bread, the bread supposed to be hot/warm why would a cold coke drink be in top of the bread? For the health & safety rules too you can’t put bread with no sealed bag there should be any sort of cover aluminium/ a small plastic bag for sandwiches because bread will be dry & contaminated. Please follow food health and...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We made a last-minute booking for 15 people at 9pm, and the team at Shandiz Persian Restaurant in Fairfield absolutely delivered! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, greeted with genuine hospitality, and seated comfortably with the heater already on — such a thoughtful touch.

The food? Absolutely amazing! There was no delay in service despite our large group, and every dish was fresh, full of flavour, and generously portioned. The side dishes like the Shirazi salad, mast-o-musir, and the freshly baked bread were standout highlights — honestly beyond words!

Thank you so much for taking such great care of us. A beautiful experience from start to finish, and truly worth every dollar....
