What seemed like would be a weird place for a bakery cafe, was actually superb!! Good for street parking as well as carpark nearby. We went for free coffee happy hours (1-3pm) and was hugely and pleasantly blown away. The cozy fake fire on the wall and lovely overall woody aesthetic, it was a perfect spot for a super rainy day. Small awning at front allowed us to pack up the brolly before entering. All of the staff were happy and friendly! Service was quite quick but there was only two other couples in store at the time. I had the Baby Doll stack. The bernaise sauce was not as rich and heavy as hollandaise which made it much better, also wasn't drenching my meal like some places do. Forget what my friends had exactly but was a meaty sandwich that they very much enjoyed, and the apple crumble scroll that was moan worthy. I had an apple strudel to take home and oooooooeeeee it was amazing!! Solid flavour and dense stuffing. Pastry was sweet and flakey. So goooood. We all commented how delicious our coffees were too. I'm a soy milk drinker and kinda judge how creamy and smooth the barista can do the milk and 10 stars to whoever made it. It was one of the best coffees I've had for a long while and I've just visited Melbourne. Pics don't do the food justice. Friend took home a bunch of desserts and thoroughly loved them all too. The banana and cream tart...
Read moreMy husband and I really enjoyed our coffee here this morning. The ambience was great with friendly service and lots of thoughtful touches. While we haven’t yet tried the food we’re really happy to see such a great space open within walking distance from home.
To the reviewer who left a one star review because they paid $44 for seven items - I understand that affordability is an issue in Western Sydney but that’s a very poor reason to reflect negatively on a small business. I personally thought that the pricing, which was clearly stated on the menus, was fair and we have paid more at some very average cafes in the area.
For anyone interested in freeing up some seats for those of us who appreciate the hard work which goes into running a quality café there is a 7-11 just down the road selling $2 sausage rolls and slushies which might be...
Read moreLovely little cafe with friendly staff, nice vibe and nice hot drinks. Also loved that they brought water over without us asking and it was chilled. Just some feedback: . Would be handy if the menus were in an easy to see spot at the counter, also couldn't see drinks on it (not sure if there is a separate menu for that) . Good if the items in the display were priced . My Dutch pancake was very disappointing unfortunately. It was more like a crepe and I normally love the mini ones at the markets with lemon and sugar but this didn't seem worth the price. If it was thicker ( like you see most Dutch pancakes when you google them) with a side of maple syrup definitely would of been more enjoyable.
Im keen to go back though and try a cake and have another...
