Used to go here all the time and get their desserts and afternoon treats but recently some things have changed and the quality sadly isn't as good. For one we used to love the tiramisu, it was always our local go to for birthday cakes as it was so good but the recipie has changed and not for the better, it's too watery and soggy and tastes more like cheesecake. We picked up an apple turnover here for an afternoon snack and there was hardly any apple in it at all. It was 80% cream and pastry and for the price of $5ish, that's not great. We may come back if the quality gets better, but for now it's just OK. I was surprised coming in around 4:30 to find a lot of their pastries and cakes still there, as in the past all the best stuff was usually gone by 4, so maybe it was an off day or less locals are buying from here. Service was prompt and friendly, and the place was clean but the atmosphere is very different.

For years, I’ve heard about a highly recommended bakery in Winston Hills, but as I’m not local, I wasn’t sure where it was or how good the food really was. Yesterday, while driving through Winston Hills, I finally spotted the bakery I’d been hearing about. It's located in a row of shops and is the last store on the left when facing the shops. Parking was easy, and they even have designated disabled parking spaces. The bakery itself was clean and tidy, and the service was friendly and efficient. I tried their sausage roll and meat pie—both were delicious—and sampled a couple of pastries. I even picked up a tea cake to enjoy later. Overall, I was really impressed with the quality and taste. It was definitely worth the stop. The shop is cool and air-conditioned, with one table inside and a few outdoor tables available. It's a great spot to sit down for a quick lunch if you have the time.

I’ve been going to this bakery for over10 years. Since it got bought out, it’s been on a steady decline. We used to go daily , then weekly and then monthly. Today was my last day. No seaded bread ( the picture is from bakers delight who had plenty 🤩 ) and no fresh warm spinach and cheese sausage rolls. I’ve been multiple times to find nothing is now in stock fresh. The place seriously needs a makeover and fresh new perspective. Local bakers are gold mines if you put in the effort. Last time I’m going to find out it’s not sold anymore or it’s sold out as they do so few . Sad day , to lose 10 years of repeat business.

This is a great little suburban bakery which sells all the old favourites as well as some new ones. I love their custard tart, which they usually get right, though I've eaten here so often that occasionally it has felt like the previous day's produce. Still, they have a great recipe for their custard and if they could just get the pastry more consistently perfect then I would change my review. The cream buns are delicious too, as are the pineapple tarts. They also do great pies, and they are now getting the temperature right by using a bit more heat in the oven. I need to go back soon, since I travel from Surry Hills to be taken back to my childhood eating all the good old fashioned cakes and pies that I...
