Shop: My Hao Cuisine, Winston Hills Filling amount: 4/5 Taste: 3/5 Bread: Thick crust, but not fresh today. Price: $9 Grilled Pork Roll Rating: 3.5/5 Check out all that juicy pork! The grilled pork roll has lightly pickled carrot, coriander, lettuce, cucumber and butter. No pate on the grilled pork banh mi, but they do put it on their regular banh mi. The crust on the bread wasn’t as crisp as some others, but maybe they couldn’t get fresh bread today (Australia Day). Although the pork was garnished with some Vietnamese shallot oil, I wish there was some fresh shallot in the roll too. Stronger pickling on the carrot (or more of it) combined with fresh shallot would bring the salad side of the roll up to the same quality as the tasty grilled meat. Overall, it’s a decent option in this area and I’m looking forward to coming back to try some of their other banh mi options. Ps: the Vietnamese iced coffee, “3 Colour” Dessert and “Flan” crème caramel were all delicious. 📷banhmisydney

Came here for a crispy pork roll, I did give them a call before going and asked if they do CRISPY PORK roll, the guy over the phone(prolly the owner) said YES, come down but sadly after reaching there and asking him he said they don’t do crispy pork roll but insisted I try grilled pork - quite misleading. Anyway, since I traveled all the way I asked for a grilled chicken the banh mi was wayyyyy off regarding the stuffing more than half of the roll was filled with lettuce and the chicken hardly had any flavour. The overall experience was pretty low, above all, it’s never good to lie to customers.

If you are Vietnamese and have grown up eating at Vietnamese restaurants in Sydney, you would get a real nostalgia blast here. Sure, staff are to a little direct - that doesn't bother me. They did mix up a drink order but that was resolved at no charge to us. I ordered the combination rice (good pork grill there but strangely enough some of it was colder than the main piece...). The pho was lacking depth in taste but being thinner it was quite drinkable. Reasonable prices. Good for this area but if you're bothered to go into Parramatta there are better options!

Disappointing Vietnamese food. We ordered the pho, crispy chicken, and the combination vermicelli bowl. The pho lacked depth and flavour - it tastes as if there's too much msg and not enough of the pho spices that you'd expect in a traditional pho. The crispy chicken was the worst of all. It tasted really old and as if it had been marinating in fish sauce for 3 days. The meat itself was extremely dry and almost inedible. The skin was crispy, awesome! However... The skin also had a weird flavour to it. The vermicelli bowl was only okay - it came with 1 spring roll, 1 sugar cane prawn stick, and they were quite generous with the lemon grass meat. The noodles were quite broken up, flavour of everything else was mediocre. The meat was strangely all clumped up in big balls (as if they were frozen like that).

Unfortunately... Came home with food poisoning from the place.

Service was bad - rude cashier - he just constantly yelled out things to customers. You have to order at the register, which is fine - however there were no signs for it and the cashier just constantly yelled at us, telling us that we needed to order there. We weren't even ready yet and he just kept...

Unbelievable. This pho place WAS good worth 3.5-4 stars in terms of quality of food and kindness of staff (Not for the cleanliness of the place, inconsistency of the quality of food, or authenticity of the viet food). What happened to me today was a disaster of mistreating a local loyal customer to this place for the last 4 years. I am not sure how the attitude to treat customers has worsened ever since this place was only filled with 1 or 2 tables of customers on a beautiful Saturday lunch when we first visited the place. I was proud to bring some friends who visit this area for lunch but now it is the past memories. Please treat all your customers in fair manner. Value your local customers who regularly dine regardless of their ethnicity. Do not ignore the customer who is standing to pay at the counter. Say hello to all your customers if you would do it by selecting who you want to. I totally felt I was not welcomed to the place. Not to mention more than this but this will be my last time to...

Have bought here twice & not been satisfied on either occasion. First occasion was back when they originally opened several years ago - a chicken roll that was truly unpalatable. I threw it in the big before I got back to the car.

Second time the food was tasty, however it doesn't offer value for money. For $18 I received a deeper rectangular takeaway container than normal - more than 3/4's filled with vermicelli noodles. There was a bit of pork the size of a child's palm, a SINGLE mini spring roll with a few bits of cucumber, lettuce & grated carrot. The fresh vege were even very light on. The dressing was fresh & a good quantity - something was needed to make the vermicelli noodles palatable, given they formed the lions share of the dish. Despite enjoyable flavour I won't buy again due to incredibly mean amounts re: quantity of main elements of dish. Definitely a rort. I estimate I received less than $5 worth of ingredients. Making a profit is one thing. However this was...
