Balkan Oven Bakery Cafe — Restaurant in Sydney

We've ordered a few times from here and our orders for 'maznik' have always been precise, and the product perfect. However, last week we placed an order for '4 maznik'. On arrival the place was bustling and wait time was longer than anticipated, but to be expected during busy periods, and I had no issue. The issue and disappointed falls with our order taken over the phone the day prior by a gentleman. Our order was for (4 maznik - 3 chees + 1 spinach & cheese). Simple order that wasn't delivered precisely. On arrival home, we were disappointed to find all (4 were NOT Maznik, they were Burek). All 4 were 'cheese and were not cut into pieces'. One can understand your run a busy show, but when you specialize in the specific product, and there only 2 specific products and neither resemble close enough in 'name' to confuse and mix up the order (maznik) - (burek), and then to to not deliver the final product to the customers request, really isn't...

I have been coming to this shop since I was 10 years old, I went in today with a friend, he was $2 short and the lady owner behind the counter started abusing us and embarrassing us in front of a whole bloody line shouting “you have money how can you be $2 short?” We were also told to put back one soft drink.. everybody in the shop was shocked but did not say anything. And as I was leaving the lady was speaking to me in Macedonian telling me that people are always short on cash and what not.

I am sorry but this behaviour is NOT acceptable. Nobody should be treated so poorly and rudely especially in front of other customers. I will never return to this Burek place again. I’d rather spend my money elsewhere with POSITIVE ENERGY.

Went to buy 2 cappuccino today , I saw the staff make the Cappuccino and next min i saw her throw away the froth from the jug into rubbish bin. it was curdled up so milk was off. next thing without even washing the jug she pours in milk from another bottle from fridge. without thinking anything about it we drank the cappa and came back to work. 15 mins later i started to feel sick ( feel like vomiting ) I asked my colleague if she was feeling sick after the Cuppa and and i mentioned that i saw the Staff not rinse the jug she was frothing in. Then my colleague said no wonder she found LUMPS of milk solids in her cuppa ! Friendly advise for staff. Please wash up all utensils if things like this happen just like you would for your family !
