Saturday 21st September 2024. We were attending the Rockdale Jazz Festival in King St and decided to get some takeaway. Selected Jery Solti and after waiting about 5 minutes for someone to come to the counter and serve us we selected our menu items. I asked several time about the portions as I wanted curry and one rice as well as the Chicken Momo for 2 people. After ordering just one curry I asked if this was sufficient and was told best to get one more curry, I was shown the picture on the front of the menu and thought I should get the additional curry. After waiting almost 40 minutes our order arrived. it looked to be incorrect as inside the bag was one large container of Rice one container of Momo and two very small round containers of something. I asked if this was correct and was told that was my order. total cost was $53.65. When I got home the two small curry dishes were three tablespoons in each of the chicken dish and mutton dish. I must say the flavour of the two curries was nice however the meat in both was full of bone at least 50% was bone. The Rice dish was lacking in flavour , the combination of ingredient's was OK just lacking in any flavour. The Momo individually lacked in flavour and granted I did have these as a take away were very over cooked and this could have been because they were in the container until I got home. The sauce that accompanied the Momo tastes very watered down and added no real excitement to the dish. Overall I was very disappointed with the food and thought for the price it was very expensive. The person that took our order should have explained the size of the portions when we ordered this would have avoided the situation. The menu we were shown the price of the curry was about $21 the curry we received we were charged $10 and $12 so the price was reduced but still cant understand why things were changed and we received the small portion when I clearly asked for the two curries. The service person when she saw is looking at the contents of the bag and checking the menu asked if everything was OK I questioned the order with her and was told that is your order and she walked away. Not a place we will return to unfortunately based on the service price and experience. The food was OK but I am certain better experiences in the area...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant on Saturday evening and were incredibly disappointed with the customer service. As Nepalese, we pride ourselves on our hospitality, but the staff here not only seemed disrespectful, but their behavioor also felt like a defamation of Nepalese culture.
When I asked for a takeaway container to pack the unfinished meal, the staff simply tossed it onto the table. I was stunned—it's not like we were asking for free.. It was even worst when we approached the counter, the lady didn’t speak a single word. At the very least, they should have informed us of the total bill, or even asked how we wanted to pay—whether by cash or card. Instead, she just typed the amount and handed us the EFTPOS machine, leaving us completely unaware of our bill.
The Food was really good , we often visit to auburn for their great jerry and other food too but this place definitely needs significant improvement in customer service. Proper training is a must! . Even while writing this review, I remember their behavior, and it’s making...
Read moreWe recently had the pleasure of dining at your restaurant for a breakfast outing, with my partner of Nepalese heritage and myself being Indian. The culinary offerings were exceptional, showcasing a delightful range of flavors, and the service was courteous and attentive, contributing to a generally positive experience. However, I was somewhat disheartened to notice a map on display that includes portions of undisputed Indian territory within the depiction of a “Greater Nepal.” While historical perspectives can be informative, I believe they may be out of place in a setting dedicated to serving food with care and hospitality. As someone who holds great respect for my partner’s Nepalese culture, I would kindly encourage the management to consider the importance of mutual respect for all patrons, irrespective of their background. Regrettably, this concern would prevent me from returning until the situation is addressed in the future; I would be delighted to revisit should this...
