Third and final attempt at ordering food here. The coffee is nice but unfortunately the service and food leaves a lot to be desired. Ordered two coffees and two toasted sandwiches this morning. Understandably the cafe was moderately busy as itās the weekend - so naturally I accepted we would have to wait a bit. In the end we waited about 25 minutes for 2 takeaway coffees and toasties. When I ordered I specifically asked for butter and salt and pepper to be on the toasties. We waited 20 minutes before one of the workers asked if we wanted to have our coffees while we waited for the toasties.. at this point we said yes as otherwise they were just going to be sitting there going cold. We drank our coffees and waited some more. Finally after almost half an hour our toasties were ready. Drove to the nearby park to have our toasty⦠no coffee as it had already been consumed⦠opened it up and saw the cheese was barely melted (just sweaty and lukewarm) no butter, no salt and no pepper. Honestly, if youāre going to make people wait 30 minutes for w simple takeaway order like this - they should at least be up to a standard⦠not slopped together like this. Paying almost $35 I wish I went to Coles and made them myself. Getting takeaway is a treat in this economy at the moment and honestly itās not worth spending here if that is the care and consideration put into the service. Will...
Ā Ā Ā Read more$14 for a ham and cheese croissant. FOURTEEN. It was one of those chewy fluffy ones too, not gourmet, not Sonoma or even flakey, just a cheapy croissant which tasted a few days old with no frills ham and cheese on it. It was slightly warmed but the cheese was still cold in the middle and never melted. They also don't tell you or even show you the price of your meal when you pay - they type it on their screen and you tap on a little square reader that doesn't have a screen, so it's a complete mystery what your total is unless you ask for a receipt or you check your bank account. I've always had the coffee here for years which i enjoyed so I have kept coming back, but the price of that croissant (which by the way is priced higher than cooked eggs on toast!!!), is truly taking people for fools with a 800% markup. You cannot blatantly rip people off like that with a cold woolies croissant and expect respect and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBrunch stop after taking my son to the nearby Five Docks Skate Park (which has an awesome connection of bowls). My son had toasted banana bread and a delicious creamy vanilla milkshake. I had the cornfritters with avocado. An unusual but very tasty option. My order was wrong (came with salmon, instead of the ordered bacon) but was quickly resolved. I enjoyed a Campos coffee - well presented and prepared. The decor - we ate outside - was simple but adequate. It isn't the place to reflex and enjoy the weekend papers but as the start stream of locals and drive-by customers confirmed, the service is warm and friendly and the menu simple but well delivered. Will probably become a regular "post-skateboard" eatery! There is plenty of street parking on the nearby roads and is...
