Dining at Billu’s Restaurant turned out to be a delightful experience packed with rich flavors and satisfying portions. We started off with the Papdi Chaat, which was a perfect appetizer — crisp papdis layered with chilled yogurt, tangy tamarind chutney, and a sprinkle of spices that hit the sweet, spicy, and savory notes just right. For the mains, we tried a variety of classic North Indian dishes: Palak Paneer was creamy, well-seasoned, and had a great balance of spinach and soft paneer cubes. Dal Makhani was rich, buttery, and slow-cooked to perfection — exactly what you’d hope for from a traditional Punjabi kitchen. Chole stood out with its deep, robust flavor — spiced generously but not overwhelming, and cooked to just the right texture. The assortment of naans and parantha we ordered — butter naan, garlic chilli naan, garlic chilli cheese naan and lachcha parantha — were fresh and pillowy, ideal for scooping up the gravies. The service was prompt and friendly, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. Whether you're craving street-style starters or hearty vegetarian mains, Billu’s delivers on both taste and authenticity.

My usual experience at Billu’s is not always bad. However, today on the special occasion of Mother’s Day I got the worst food and service. The seating was very congested and it was really loud which is somewhat understandable however the food was not of good quality. All the food we ordered was cold. We ordered tandoori chicken and it was not flavoured properly, it seemed like only basic seasoning like salt and pepper was on it. We ordered butter chicken and it also was runny and cold. Not like what Billu’s usually serve when the butter chicken has a thick gravy. To top things up, all of our naans that we ordered were burnt from the back. When asked by one of the waitresses how the food was at the end, after I complained that the naans were burnt she says to tell them at the time the food was served. However, the problem is shouldn’t the cooks know when they serve the food to the customer that it is burnt. Billu’s intentionally serves burnt, cold food on purpose. Really disappointing, especially for Mother’s Day.

I had a truly unbelievable experience with an online order from this restaurant. Among other dishes, we ordered the Butter Chicken. When the order arrived, we were shocked to find that the container for the Butter Chicken held nothing but gravy—there were no pieces of chicken at all. I immediately called the restaurant, hoping to resolve the issue. The person who identified herself as the manager and owner, Simran, was incredibly unhelpful. Instead of apologizing for the mistake, she argued that we had received exactly what we ordered. I tried to explain that a 'Butter Chicken' dish should include chicken, but she was dismissive and insisted on being right. She was unprofessional and lacked any basic sense of customer care. Being charged the full price of $25.90 for a dish that was incomplete is unacceptable, and the owner’s attitude was appalling. I would strongly advise against ordering from this restaurant.

We have been there on a Valentine's day for dinner. There was a notice on the door that you can be in the restaurant only for 90 minutes and you need to finish your order within that time.

We got a table after waiting for 20 minutes. We were told that the full order incl. desserts had to be placed at once and can't be updated later. We placed our order for a couple of veg. starters main course and mocktails. Our food wasn't served for 45 minutes even after following up a few times. After 1 hr, the guy (Pravin) comes and tells me that there was some miscommunication and our order was never placed. He then apologized and mentioned that our food was on the house for the night and assured we will get it soon. After 10 mins, he comes and informs that they ran out of one of the starter. We then got the other starter and main course. It was well past 1 hr 30 mins since we placed our order. The food was horrible in taste and quantity. We never got the drink at all even after multiple follow ups. The intention was probably to save the money since he was under the impression we were eating for free.

We anyway paid the bill and left the place in utter disappointment for spoiling our special occasion.

Dear Management at Billu's,

Noone needs your free food that you serve with disgrace. The interest you put in laying out conditions for entry and order, is definitely not reflecting in the way you treat guests. It was clearly your mistake in not logging our order properly and ensuring we were served on time. There was absolutely no attentiveness paid in rectifying the fault. Instead, pretending to have forgotten the drink and claiming you ran out of starter is disrespectful and just shows the cheap tactics you...

Pretty disappointing experience. I ordered paneer tikka masala and baigan bharta and veg starter platter and also gobhi manchurian. Gobi manchurian was served first, which was good 8/10. After waiting 25 minutes, two curries were served with roti. The bharta did not even have ANY masala, it was literally mashed eggplant, not even salt. SAME with paneer tikka masala, so called 'masala' should be removed from its name, there was no masala AT ALL. The gravy looked like sauce, and it was definately pre made. I could cook better than this at home easily. Curries were absolutely bland, no taste whatsoever, and for the price the quantity was less.

I am not even done yet, the whole starter platter costed 39$, a total scam only 6 tikkis (2 of beetroot, 2 aloo tikki without any sauces/chutney, mushroom tikki, paneer bbq, yes only this much for 40 bucks). The platter was 40 bucks so i expected quantity as I had 5 friends of mine, but I WAS SHOCKED TO SEE IT SERVED IN a small plate. The mushroom tikki and aloo tikki seemed pre made, they just heated it. The beetroot thingy tasted shit, no masala whatsoever. I was very disappointed with the quantity for 40 dollars, i expected twice of what was served, with better quality/taste. Not a single was good unfortunately.

Upon billing, the staff gave me 10% discount, when I told them about my experience. Maybe, it was just a bad day for them, maybe I ordered non-normal food such as bharta (but paneer should have been good!). Not a single plate seemed nice, the best was gobhi manchurian.

The bill came out 120$ after discount. We had paan from other shop which was the best part of the dinner. Clearly not worth even 30$ in my opinion, you can make...
