Burger Co Kareela — Restaurant in Sydney

We’ve been to both Hurstville and Kareela a number of times as we live in the middle.

Slightly over indoor seating at Kareela, but who cares. I came for the food, not tablecloths.

We got the Burger Mac which was juicy, cheesy and saucey. Solid 9/10. The clear winner was the Peanut Butter Chicken.

I love my fried chicken and peanut butter. I’ve had many PB and PBJ burgers. This was the best I have had. Ever. Easy 10/10, pushing the supernash PBJ to second position.

This right amount of each ingredient and could easily taste the peanut butter with a drizzle of maple syrup. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and juicy.

Could not fault the burger at all. Burger co is always a solid 9-10/10 each time we come, regardless of what we order. Kamikaze, chicken waffle, biscoff donut etc etc.

I can’t get enough of this place.

Can’t wait to come back for the Buffalo Mack and Sweet and Spicy Mac.

Great spot for creative and tasty burgers, with plenty of unique options to choose from. Everything is made with care and presented really well.

🍔 The burgers are the highlight, with a wide range of unusual combinations that all work beautifully. Even with bold flavours, the balance and execution are excellent.

🍟 The sides are just as interesting as the burgers. The poutine in particular deserves a special mention — rich, hearty, and a great complement to the mains.

💰 Prices are on the higher side if you order through delivery apps, but significantly better value if you order in person or pick up yourself.

🚗 Our delivery order arrived cold, which dulled the experience a little, though the food still tasted great. To really enjoy it at its best, I’d suggest collecting directly from the restaurant.

A place I’d happily return to, but next time I’ll be picking up in person rather than relying...

Good cheese burgers and good fries. It’s like they take McDonald’s fries and burgers and say, how can we make this with real food and better flavour?

Ordered a meal 8:50pm on Saturday night and they were still happy to take the order.

The fries come in a heat trapping bag which is really cool… so they were still hot when I picked up the order. Onion rings are decent too.

I like burgers that are simple without complexity. If you cant get the basics right, you’re wasting your time with bells and whistles extra ingredients in my books. The burger itself, the humble cheese burger, was full of flavour and tasted real. The patty was slightly crispy/smashed? and the ingredients combined well. The other items on the menu make it appear the owner/chef of this pair of stores has tried burger joints in the US and knows exactly how a good burger...
