Cafe 26 Arndell Park — Restaurant in Sydney

I have been to Cafe 26 twice so far. There are just a couple of areas that I would like to suggest for improvement. The 2 star rating is for service. The first time I came in I was waiting for almost 30mins for a bacon egg and sausage wrap and a cuppocino. My concern was that it wasnt that busy but the lady behind the counter was chatting to 2 customers constantly which is fine when you dont have someone waiting. My food was then placed on the counter and she ignored me kept me waiting longer kept chatting to the customers she had served already. Despite another lady bringing my food in she didnt bother to acknowledge me or assist me in paying for my food. I put this down to a one off experience & tried again this time phoning my order through & asking when it shall be ready. The same staff member told me 10mins. I arrived around 15 mins later saw my food in the counter breakfast roll and cuppocino. There was 1 person in the cafe. The same staff member ignored me kept talking to the one customer. I was waiting another 10 to 15mins and was ignored by all other staff members. No one came to help me. There was no apology or recognition that I wont be kept waiting. Seems maybe only the regulars here, providing they are male have preferential treatment, that is what I have observed. I asked if the staff member if she was the only one trained on the till & she replied yes. I then asked if she had a survey I could fill in and was told it is on the website. There isnt. Cafe 26 in Arndell Park is a gem! The food is absolutely delicious, with generous portions that leave you more than satisfied. The café is spotless, and the attention to cleanliness really stands out. What makes the experience even better is the warm and friendly atmosphere. Had lunch date with my daughter she had burger I had a gyro. Food was brought out real quick.we loved the food but the stand out was the customer service. The owner sorry forgot his name was on the front line going from table to table making sure everything was up to scratch and it was. Hats off to someone who really cares what he serves up. Il run the chicken plate and a spicy tender next time..only thing I could fault him on is its only brekie and lunch service. But I'm only hen picking there. You wont be dissapointed..
