Jasmin1 Blacktown Lebanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Sydney

We decided to use Jasmin1 to cater for our Christmas party as we had been there a while back and enjoyed the food. I don't know if management has changed, but the experience was very different. Initially I was told they can deliver for an additional $30 fee when I rang weeks in advance to secure catering. Then told no ( day before my final order) , then called back and told yes they can. I received my delivery later than 12pm ( even though I had requested it between 11.30 and 12). Food quality was ok, edible but we noticed it wasn't our usual Jasmin1 experience as we use to dine at various branches and this branch in the past. Some of the foods were a bit spicy to our liking but still we let these issues go. We had a big order and noticed the vine leaves missing as this was one of our guests favourite dish. I called the shop and she just apologised " so sorry for that, you can come back to the shop and we can refund". I told her we are not after a refund we want our food and it is Christmas day I am not driving back there ,she said the delivery driver had left even though it was not that long since we received our food that we called. Being Christmas day with guests waiting to eat I just suggested a credit for future visits and she accepted. My husband heard this conversation and told me this was not acceptable and called back. He said she had reluctantly answered the phone and hung up without him being finished with the conversation for a reasonable solution. We spent hundreds and regret that our experience was unsatisfactory. We paid in cash and did not get refunded for our missing meal. We also ordered Baklava which did not taste the freshest. We celebrated my wife’s birthday here thinking we have not had Lebanese cuisine for awhile. This place did not disappoint and everybody absolutely loved the food. All the meat were tender and juicy and was plentiful. The ladies who served us were both so friendly and has excellent customer service skills.The food came out of the kitchen fresh and quicker than we expected. We walked out very satisfied for the price we paid. This place is an absolute hidden gem of a place. It is most definitely a recommended place to eat in. We will definitely go back. If you’ve eaten at other jasmin1 don’t bother coming here. Not authentic Lebanese experience, run and cooked by Indians who don’t know their own menu. The standard is no where near the other ones and I’m shocked that they are even open. Staff did not acknowledge us at all and made us feel like we were an inconvenience by being there. Does not have the same menu as other jasmin1. Didn’t offer us water, any breads or anything, pickles or anything on arrival. The place looks so dirty and unhygienic.
