I've always told my fiancé that I'd take her to eat here. Naughty me, not following through on that promise until now. Cedar Wrap is an old favourite of mine from a couple of years ago. Think Lebanese charcoal BBQ of the highest order. Think long skewers of lamb, charcoal and delectable kefta. Think hummus, toum (garlic sauce), and tabouleh. Think family business - it's run by a father and son duo who really love what they do, and as you might imagine, it really shows in their food. Of the handful of times I've visited, the BBQ meats here have left quite the lingering impression. It's since been a frequent recommendation to all visitors to Sydney who ask "Hey Kev, where can I try Lebanese food when I visit Sydney?" I'd respond "If Bankstown's not too far for you, it doesn't get much better than a late night feed at Cedar Wrap." As the name suggests, they specialise in wraps. In the hour or two we sat eating, you would laugh at how many times we counted a customer greeted by Oz (owner) with "How are you brother, just the usual?" How many "usuals" could this man possibly remember 😂. Wraps are clearly the come-and-go order of choice. Sit in and eat however, and the BBQ plates might definitely be your jam. You get your skewers and your choice of rice or chips. You guys know I love my rice! Their one's really fluffy and pumpin' with an intense garlic butteriness that'll leave your lips shiny. The fries are a Lebanese-style fried diced potato that's tossed with garlic, coriander, chilli and lemon. They're crunchy and zingy - you could also say this about their tabouleh actually. Of the meats, I'd say the lamb skewers and kefta win it for me. Dip a piece in the hummus, moan in satisfaction, and then make a wrap with it all and let out another moan. I really enjoy dynamic table spreads like these which you can eat in different ways! Enjoy ✌️ 📍Cedar...

For charcoal chicken wings, my favourite kind of chicken and type of chicken, I take reviewing these seriously. First impressions?.. My review speaks for itself 🤤👍🏼🍗🍟 I bought 20 wings, and I somehow devoured all 20 of them AND the chips in one sitting. Here's how that went down-

The charcoal wings were cooked perfectly. I'd say it tastes nearly perfect to the freshness you would expect from restaurant cooked charcoal chicken. They had a good full and natural no hormone flavour to them. I wonder if they marinated them beforehand too because they're spot on the flavour mark. I'm impressed either way.

To not only make great wings cooked just right - but to also have made well balanced lebanese garlic toum that stands out...Their toum I'm just gonna say it, Cedars is the better toums out there. These days, even some butchers either get toum wrong. It's either too garlicky or too creamy/oily and not enough used garlic. Cedars just finds that perfect full traditional balance where the garlic toum (sauce) is just creamy, but also tastes like authentic toum with just the right amount of garlic bite. You don't see the toum here because it's hidden under the chips! (I got shoestring my fave) and don't even get me started on the chips... Not oily, not too crisp heavy. Another homerun item on their menu.

Conclusion? They're 3 years established, all these other reviews say so many good things. Now I can believe them without a single doubt. If you love wings, kafta, lamb etc and charcoal done right this is your next spot. Even if you want to give it a try, you won't be...

Can’t get over how delicious the food is! We got the BBQ for Two, for the second time and boy it really does not disappoint. The chicken is so succulent and juicy, every single bite you take. They give you sauces to dip but their chicken and meats really don’t need it, THERE IS SO MUCH FLAVOUR! The garlic butter rice with caramelised onions on top is literally so soft, fluffy and silky, dreamy 😍. I haven’t tried rice any better than theirs. They’re chicken wings, you can choose between fried or charcoaled but we definitely go half and half because we are indecisive and with good reason here! Their chips really grew on me, they are diced and I like them a whole lot more better now! The Kefta and Lamb skewers are mouth drooling with every bite you take. The Tabouli has so much flavour and is so fresh. The Lebanese bread with their secret spice blend, that is always going to be the reason that I want Cedar wrap everyday of the week. Portions are incredible especially for the low price that you pay. Can’t stop recommending this place and how great their customer service is. Great friendly people, amazing food, great prices. You go during the day and you’re back to dreaming about it again at night! Thank you once again Cedar Wrap. Can’t wait to come...

We ordered the Cedar plate for 2 ($59) and 2 x sodas ($5ea). Most of the food was excellent and plentiful for two. Pictured from top down is 2 x chicken, kofta (beef w spices), lamb, fried chicken wings, pickles, chips & bread. It comes with a range of dips - garlic, chilli, garlic aioli & hommus. It also comes with one large salad. My bf and I couldn’t agree on one option so the staff gave us half-half (Lebanese & tabouli), which was super nice of them 😁 The chicken was surprisingly juicy and flavourful - this was my favourite. Lamb was a close second best and delicious. Kofta had nice flavours but slightly dry. It was so fun making little wraps with the pita and the pita was soft & fresh 👌 Though, I’d pass on the chicken wings because they tasted re-fried and not fresh. But the fries were well seasoned ✨ We ended up taking away most of the chicken wings and chips. IMO it might be more value for money if you share between two, the Cedar plate for one with three skewers ($33) and add another skewer/ salad/ wrap ($15). I’ll probably do this next time but holy shit I highly recommend this place for food & vibes !!!! The tables are clean and they have tissues & hand sanitizer which is just A+
