THIEVES! Coffee Parts stole my money.
I purchased a faulty Outin Nano unit and sent it back to them (after over a month of Coffee Parts stonewalling and not responding to my emails, essentially trying to palm me off with intentional silence, before finally sending me a return label).
I received confirmation from Australia Post that Coffee Parts received the return package. I have sent multiple follow up emails and Coffee Parts refuse to respond. So they have stolen my money.
Note I am not the only person who has had this issue with a faulty Outin Nano unit, and Coffee Parts stealing money.
There is another review here by 'Ed Wood' which reveals an almost identical experience.
I am astounded that Coffee Parts has such utter contempt for their customers. Avoid these rip-off merchants at all costs.
ADDENDUM: THE PLOT THICKENS...TURNS OUT COFFEE PARTS HAVE ALSO CREATED THOUSANDS OF FAKE POSITIVE REVIEWS ON TRUSTPILOT. Total scammers.
Soo... After posting this Google review, I went to post the same thing on Trustpilot. And noticed something incredibly suspect.
That is, Coffee Parts has over 9,000 predominantly positive reviews on Trustpilot. But this doesn't even remotely add up.
Think about it logically - Coffee Parts has only 3.7K likes (and 4.7K followers) on its Facebook page. Only 3.7K people were interested in clicking 'like' for their business on Facebook, yet over 9K wrote an entire review on a much less well known website (Trustpilot)?
That's not how business numbers work.
To make this clear: Coffee Parts' Australian competitor, Alternative Brewing, has 83K likes (and 109K followers) on Facebook, yet only 244 reviews on Trustpilot (go ahead and check it out right now to confirm). So if you think Coffee Parts has over 9K genuine reviews on Trustpilot, when they have around 4% of the Facebook likes that Alternative Brewing has, then you are dreaming.
In fact, based on a similar ratio of Facebook likes to Trustpilot reviews, Coffee Parts should have around 10-11 Trustpilot reviews. 10-11. Not OVER 9 THOUSAND!!!
On the basis of logical mathematical probability, Coffee Parts would actually need to have over 3.2 MILLION Facebook likes for their Trustpilot numbers to add up and be remotely plausible. Yet they have 3.7 THOUSAND only. This represents orders of magnitude of absurdity.
In other words, Coffee Parts are full of it on all levels, and have no hesitation scamming customers, cheating, stealing and lying. Avoid at all costs!
EDIT AFTER THE B.S. REPONSE BELOW:
Wow! More LIES! You guys are next level.
How dare you claim that I "held onto the unit for some time". LIES! I did no such thing. You are the one who refused to respond properly for months. I, on the other hand returned the item within the exact week you FINALLY sent the return label, after months of you stonewalling before providing it, and repeatedly ignoring my emails.
After you received it back, which I have proof from Australia Post to attest to, you refused to respond to my multiple emails for weeks, leading me to conclude you were satisfied to steal my money. Only after I finally started to post about my experience with you online, you finally (yesterday!) sent a refund. With no apology or explanation.
Absolutely audacious that you are attempting to palm off your failures onto me. Truly, an absolute disgrace.
You state you tried the machine and it's fine. After all your shenanigans, there is zero reason to believe this whatsoever. And it most certainly was not fine when I sent it back to you. Otherwise, I wouldn't have bothered, as I was perfectly happy with the machine when it was working for the first week or so, before it malfunctioned.
And your assertion that you do everything you can to resolve things "amicably and timely". Wow. More LIES. You did literally the opposite of this at every single opportunity.
You should be utterly ashamed of yourself.
And you have yet to explain how your Trustpilot review to FB review ratio adds up. Because you can't, without admitting you have bought those fake...
Read moreThe service from Coffee Parts staff was excellent. Their initial response to my original enquiry was delayed, but that wasn't an issue for me. They were apologetic in that instance and fabulously responsive for every subsequent enquiry and interaction. Prices seem quite good, and they offered advice from their experience with my model of machine. I chose not to heed one piece of their advice because my earlier experience with my machine told me it wasn't an issue. They accepted my reasons without any bad vibes in the reply. The were very attentive and precise when I requested information, and contacted me promptly when there was a supply and delivery issue I needed to make decisions about. They guided me through adding items to my initial order/delivery and made it all happen in the one go. They even sent photos of the much larger packaging -- due to the size of the added items -- to be sure it would still fit in my letter-box. Their website has some useful videos/links to maintaining your machine yourself, and some good diagrams for helping you understand the inside of your precious coffee machines. 8) Great prices! Great service! Thanks so much, Coffee...
