Cravings Cafe — Restaurant in Sydney

The big breakfast was really nice, the customer service from the man and Asian lady was great and the chai latte was yummy. The coffee was bitter and burnt which is normally no big deal but the woman behind the counter, who was very friendly to begin with, was loud and defensive. We asked nicely for a chai latte instead and she continued her defense "I drink plenty of coffee and it tastes like this wherever i go!" She insisted, despite the request, to make another one... and we sat down. This coffee never came. Even if you think the customer is a pompous so-and-so, just smile and make a chai latte, which costs you nothing really, and shows validation and good customer service - leading to client retention. While we continued having breakfast, this woman ranted to another customer about us, looking for reassurance that her coffee was fine - a super unprofessional look. Sometimes it doesn't hurt to listen to feedback and act on it, if appropriate. It helps us get better at what we do. It was a bit of a mood-killer and could've been...

I have received mixed reception by the staff. I experienced a wrong attitude by them today. Since they have the monopoly in the area, they are placed in a favourable position. But, snapping on customers for whatever reason is not acceptable. I'm downgrading my previous 5 star rating to 3. Since the food is good and the service is fast I don't want to go below 3, but they really need to focus on treating customers...

Fantastic friendly service. A real hidden gem with great food at great prices. The cafe caters for the industrial estate, so they are big meals, big burgers, small price. We had a mini breakfast, which was the equivalent of large in the fancy cafes, which would have cost us twice the money. Staff are friendly. I could not fault the place. I wish I could find something like this...
