I came back for the second time cant seem to make a second review separately So far i thank you for taking my feedback well I didnt order the same thing But i order 2 things The sizzling steak with fries and mushroom sauce with salad The hot plate that keeps the meat sizzling but the food warm creative idea Meat its not sour but without the mushroom sauce kinda taste like unseasoned slices of steak despite having onion cooking at the bottom It was pretty tough and chewy with certain parts I dont mind some that raw raw in the middle cause the hot plate can just cook it The salad im not a fan but no comment cause its salad Mushroom sauce is good and the fries amazing especially the onion at the bottom giving it some flavour but its not giving the meat the flavour For a chinese and thai i dont really like to order things that are out of that cusine culture but my mum wanted steak The stir fry vercimelli prawn noodles i really love That medium spice and the prawns and the noodles is light even when i was full i could eat least a quarter or even half it was really good i would eat it again but i like the stir fry vercimelli crab noodles my mum ordered a few months ago as a take away it was excellent more taste and that spice gave a kick it wasnt too spicy or too bland im not a spice person but i love those 2 stiry fry dishes Since its a bistro its inexpensive unless u want like steak or schnitzel like out of the chinese and thai of cource gonna be around $20-$30 Again i would say Your atmosphere is great although when i walked in there was this weird smell but i got used to it so it didnt smell as bad Your place is spacious which is great for kids and considering small tables just to sit and watch the tv or let your kids sit Bar looks great Staff always kind even the security i would come again and try other foods but my favourite is the stir fry prawn and the stir fry crab I would come again maybe for third time surprise me but...
Read moreRead moreYesterday I’ve ordered Sweet basil calamari in the RICE AND NOODLE section on the menu and when it came, there’s no rice/noodles with it, just plain stir fried calamari, which surprised me a lot. I asked the staff why’s that and she told me ‘it doesn’t come with rice, who did you order with?’. I told her it doesn’t matter who took my order, but if it’s on the RICE AND NOODLE section, it’s supposed to come with EITHER rice or noodle, not just the food itself and I asked her why would you put it on that section then if it doesn’t come with rice/noodles. She repeated herself and that’s not even an answer. I’d been waiting for more than 30’ so I was very hangry, I got fed up and I told her ‘you know what just give me a bowl of rice then’. If I remember correctly it’s $4 for a bowl of rice which is very pricy but I didn’t really care because I waited long enough, I was hungry and I didn’t want to argue more for nothing. She gave me rice and told me that I don’t have to pay but just remember for the next time. In the end the food was okay, like 6/10. I told the cashier to make the food medium spicy but it ended up plain, not much flavour and no spicy at all. I was hungry so I didn’t really care but if you ask if I’ll come back, that’s definitely a no from me. If you don’t mind a very long wait (30’), ppl getting food before you, even though they ordered after you, stupid and confusing menu and not-so-friendly attitude of staff then come. If you want similar menus, any restaurants at Cabra, Canley Vale or Canley Heights would be so much better than this one. If you want Thai food, I’d recommend Tuk Tuk at Canley Vale. Food is on point, price is reasonable, service is friendly. I’m nothing related to that restaurant, just an honest opinion. Overall, food is overpriced, nothing special and the service is like a 4 to me. Would I recommend it? NO. Would I come back?...
Food is good, big portions and value for money. Outside and indoor seating. Gets busy at dinnertime on the weekends, so book ahead for big groups. The service and timeliness of the dishes are the biggest let down. It takes ages for the food to come and it's one dish at a time. I've been at least half a dozen times and the experience has always been the same. Last Saturday, our group of 9 a rrived around 11.40 to find plenty of seats. We ordered at 12 and were probably one of the first big groups for lunch. There was one other group of 4 who ordered before us. At 12.20, the rice and papaya salad arrived. We then waited another 15 minutes for the next dish, the fried barramundi with tamarind . We were still waiting for our steak, mussels, soft shell crab and vermicelli, fried rice, and ox tongue. We got really annoyed that other tables who ordered after us (there were only 2 seated tables when we ordered )were getting the same dishes before us and went to complain. Their excuse was the steak takes a while....yeah it does when you don't cook things when it is ordered. By 1pm we had received all our food. Luckily the kids ate rice and fish before they had a complete melt down. Would like to go back more often but their service is so poor, I need a break between visits. At least the...
