Today I was served by a young hijabi cashier around 1:30pm. Firstly I walked in and we make eye contact and she fully doesn’t acknowledge my existence when i was the only one waiting to be served. She was walking past me and we made eye contact several times and she still didn’t acknowledge my existence and made me wait about 5 minutes before she rudely asked me what I wanted. I didn’t even get to finish my sentence she was already asking me anything else and was being very aggressive and pushy and rude within her overall service and was rushing to make me pay and didn’t even give me a receipt so I didn’t even know what my order number was. However I did know what my order was later on because she shouted it out and threw it on the counter for me to collect and went straight to serve another customer which is extremely frustrating and unprofessional. The food wasn’t that fantastic either I’ve have better food for cheaper so I wouldn’t come back here again. It is very frustrating to be treated like this and you guys should talk to your workers about basic respect and customer service because your cashiers/front of house staff really lack this. I am literally paying for your wage and the reason you are getting paid right now and the least your staff can do is show basic decency and respect towards customers. It may have been Ramadan and she’s fasting or whatever but it doesn’t excuse her disgusting and rude attitude and behaviour towards...
Read moreRude staff! They love talking among them rather than service customer who has been waiting for online pickup order.
I came to collect online order 20 mins later than the estimated collection time. I deliberately did this as I knew it would take longer than expected in the past. I approached the counter and asked a lady if my order was ready. she then checked the online order and found my ticket then said is this yours? i said yes. To my surprise she continued talking to her colleagues and ignoring my order. I was standing there listening to her gossip among the other staff. After 5 mins, i said excuse me and she then looked at me saying 1 minute. I replied i have been standing here for 5 mins. she went to kitchen to get my order which was just a whole chicken!! and handed it to me and said "you are welcome".
In this day an age when you book something on line you would expect it to be ready when you arrive to pick it up. I could understand if it was busy but I was the only person in the store for pick up and handful of people lined up for orders. This is not the first time. It would appear that their success allows them to treat the customers with contempt or that they value rude staff behavior or its just both. If you value being treated like a second class citizens then El Jannah at Smithfield is the place for you. Worst customer service ever. Pity you can't record a zero...
Read moreThe mixed chicken meal was great, as you can try a bit of everything offered on their menu.. You also have the option to upgrade the garlic & salad for a few bucks & swap the salad to Tabouli.. The fried chicken pieces were full of flavour, crispy & fresh.. The hot chips, crispy, fresh, flavourful well seasoned. The Lebanese garlic dip made really well, a strong garlic taste, goes well with the chicken. The creamy chicken gravy was really nice, goes well with the hot fries.. The EJ Bites small crumbed coated fried balls of chicken breast, was great as an appetiser... But tasted a little dry as they may have cooked them a little too long.. But still tasted great with their signature creamy gravy...
The signature Charcoal Chicken however was just satisfactory, I felt it could be seasoned better or marinated more for more flavour... it was a little dry, not juicy, lacked the Fresh Hot just off the BBQ taste.. Was served luke warm... Their fried chicken pieces however, I score a perfect 5, wins over everything else.. Wish they offered pickles with this package instead of Lebanese bread.. as that was all that was missing from this package deal.. Pickles is a must with Charcoal Chicken if you want to dine Lebanese style.. The Leb bread was unnecessary I felt.. As everything was fulfilling without the need...
